FischerTal
congrats to pak on drawing in england. it is a huge morale booster for them given their experience last time in england. they truly are a formidable test team. for england, when you don't rely on your own strengths, this is what happens. making dry pitches has clearly backfired on them. zen
If Pak is ranked higher than other teams in Asia / World, it can be considered as a better team than those ranked below it However, it should be noted that when Ind was #1 in the world and even when not #1 but still above other Asian teams (and too for a considerable amount of time), many Pak argued that Ind does not deserve the ranking, ranking does not mean everything, Aus or whoever is the real #1, etc. Link to comment

Their fans will hail this as the greatest team ever to have played cricket. And yeah, when we drew in Aus in 2003-04, it was fluke result according to Lahori logic. zen 1 Link to comment
Asim
Only if Pak had managed to avoid 3rd Test collapse... This was goin to be Huge; 2-1 victory Finer 1 Link to comment
putrevus
No Pakistan is not better than India, they just nice pitches where their spinners could play a role. Indian were rolled green tracks when they played there , still it is good performance by Pakistan but they got the tracks to suit their strengths, Their fast bowling is nothing to write home about, Yasir got pitches to suit his strength where as Ashwin never got them. sscomp32 1 Link to comment
Deleted_User_1
Let's see. India choked lin 2011 and 2013 and these guys stayed competitive and drew the series. I say a resounding yes. Let's have a series with padosis and we will get our asses handed out Edited August 15, 2016 by Nova DO not use derogatory language Link to comment

Amir already had a terrific record in England, before suspension. Funny that England blunted their best two weapons in Anderson/Broad. Link to comment

G_B_
Trolling aside, Misbah will probably go down as being the second best captain after Imran in the history of Pakistan cricket. He is a bit defensive for my liking, but his contributions with the bat and holding the team together from what was an extremely turbulent period 2006-2010. Post 2009 attacks IMO people were writing Pakistan cricket off. That has not happened and Pak have remained a force in cricket as general. I still think 90s Pak were a better team but this is a very good outfit in the context of Pak cricket. Edited August 15, 2016 by G_B_ mishra 1 Link to comment
mishra
^ When Imran retired, He didnt leave any gaping holes in the team. He left with Akram Waqar Aqib, Anwar, Inzi, Sohail, Mushy Miandad Ramiz Salim. Within few years they had Afridi Saqlin, Akhtar, Razzaq coming through domestic ranks. I doubt Misbah will leave with any such legacy. He just happen to give tough competetion in one overseas series against confused England in England. There is absolutely no comparison at all.
