Malcolm Merlyn Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 What is career sr of Chepu in comparision to Dravid?
Ankit_sharma03 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 The debate is not about S/r or grinding. Its about having a move on. He has been asked to not to go in shell , he hasnt been ask to become sehwag. maniac and express bowling 2
chewy Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 when the guy has no future in T20s, ODIs, and most importantly IPL, he is always going to be cautious given his only lifeline, Tests. likes of Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli, Rahane and even Vijay can always make a living and more importantly a "name" and be in the limelight in three other forms of cricket if they fail at Tests. the pressure on Pujara is immense, if fail he that's it back to domestic and out of the limelight. Likes of Rohit or Dhawan can be dropped from Tests, play in ODIs or IPL, scores some big runs, and next thing you know they are back in the Test side. New guy 1
express bowling Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Pujara has a SR of 53 in Asia and 42 away from it. He is perfect on spinning or slow tracks and goes into a shell on faster pitches. Ankit_sharma03 1

cowboysfan Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Strike rate is really irrelevant in tests even in the modern age, especially on turning tracks in India.
Shunya Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 This is becoming ridiculous...there is huge requirement for Test specialists in our team and everyone is hell bent on changing his style of play...seems like poor guy is always going to be under pressure to perform because there is no backing from any side in this age now...
Lannister Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Too much preference is been given to tuk-tuks. There's nothing wrong with starting slow, but once you get accustomed to pitch and conditions, you should start scoring runs freely. If you are still struggling at that point, then there's something wrong with your technique. express bowling 1
