Good Luck with this test-Pitch has played right into England's hands

Terrible pitch

 

Obviously there are other external  factors beyond our control...Bad Luck with Toss,DRS

 

But terrible fielding,Toothless bowling and absolute lack of patience when the ball is not doing much but biggest culprit as I said above-Terrible pitch

 

Also to add,a rookie middle order.

 

This test will be a disaster...only way we could have salvaged is due to the pitch,but we just played right into oppositions hands

Other than Kohli and Pujara batting looks like one huge void with Vijay out of form and rest being newcomers and all rounders. How we bowl in first innings will be crucial. England already off to a good start, so work is cut out for Indian bowlers.

Perhaps if you dart quicker and flatter, you might get some turn on day 1 itself as Jadeja has shown. But Ashwin will also be handful as match goes on when ball starts to turn as pitch also has some bounce which he uses to his advantage.

Toss is boss on this pitch. We zhall lose this test like 2006 or even 2012! Batting 4th on this pitch will be like Tendulkar against a 37 year old spinner named Shaun Udal and still getting shafted!

Please tell us what is so terrible about this pitch.

 

Nothing wrong with this pitch or any other pitch in this series. Plenty wrong with the ICFers who do not actually get/enjoy test cricket, want everything on platter, want everything easy, want India to dominate every session, want every test match to follow exact same script, cannot enjoy opposition playing good cricket, do not enjoy our team in challenging situations in the match.

 

Particularly annoying is moaning about pitches in the first frikking session of the match. When was the last time a match was drawn in India when there was no weather interruptions? Any pitch which can produce a result is a good pitch, and the pitch is same for both teams.

 

This particular pitch so far, there's enough for pace bowlers, enough for spin bowlers, and good for batsmen. Bowlers have created enough opportunities, there were some missed chances and close calls, another day it could have been 100/3 instead of 125/1.

Some people don't change. Match evenly balanced now after this session going to India. This is Mumbai pitch. Always has something which surprises people later.

A very sporting track - hope that Chennai will be the same. India had opportunities and shelled them; Eng batted well and Jayant had an off-day. Even if we lose this Test, can try to win/draw the next one.

Let us wait and see.....this is based on my reading of the pitch....yeah some balls turned,bounced and zipped that is more to do with the bowlers than the pitch I personally think....If I am wrong I will admit it but I still think it is a flat track that will give the England bowlers who seem to have that extra zip a better advantage.

 

Let us hope and pray I am wrong...else we will have a long 4 more days.

People don't get it...I wanted 5-0

 

Let me take you guys on a history tour...we lost 4-0,then 2-1 at home then 3-1....so we are down 9-2....even 5-0 would have reduced the deficit to still 2 behind.

 

All this talk about great cricket...enjoyable and competitive test match...great opposition talk is just BS.....I want total annihilation...1st test pitch was an abomination....let us hope this one is not and I am wrong but looks likely
