Also, kumble's biggest strength was variation in pace and bounce.

Jadeja is quick through air, he doesnt let batsman sweep enough and batsman are scared to go on backfoot to. The same cook who kept sweeping ojha last and played our spinners on backfoot with ease has been dismissed by jadeja 4 times. He is accurate and tight, there isnt much of a hint with action when ball spin away or comes in. His bowling overs at rapid pace also helps him U knw whats the biggest headache for a batsman than ball spinning, it is when he doesnt know which one will spin and which one will not and that where jadeja becomes dangerous when he gets a bit of turn. Jadeja is an underrated cricketer, his bowling is an asset in subcontinet and even in overseas in LOI he keeps is really tight. He is gun of fielder and contributes lil bit with bat here and there. Its no mystery he has a lot of qualities and he uses it when given right conditions. GautiMaan 1

True, that's the hardest thing to pick being a batsman.a bit like kulasekara (world #2 at one time) who had a wobbly seam position and he himself wasn't sure if the ball would seam in or out lol express bowling 1

MCcricket Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Bowlers hunt in pairs, the genius of Ashwins and the left right pairing with Jadeja and the relentlessness of them both specially at home makes them effectively. Jadeja looks like is exploring his bowling a bit more n under Ashwin I see him evolving, an occasional flighted on and a seam up delivery and few things he can pick to be viable away from home to buy wkts regularly.
SUMO Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 even when there is no turn for him he keeps it tight that maintains his avg on dust bowls he is lethal india's derek underwood
Unleashed Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) He must be the most frustrating bowler to face on Indian pitches. Gives you very minimal bad balls to hit on, doesn't know himself which bowl is gonna spin plus gives you no time to get ready for the next ball. Absolute delight for a captain to have too. I bet Kohli thinks Jadeja is one of our most valuable players. Edited December 12, 2016 by Unleashed

He may yet deliver for us on non-spinning tracks, given an opportunity and the appropriate match scenario. Underwood probably was an automatic starter for their team and consequently got more opportunities...
Vilander Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 its a classic offspin - leg spin( of left arm orthodox off spin) combo. Pure forms no write in play.
Sidhoni Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 He is also known to trouble the best batsmen of the opposition : Micheal Clarke, Alastair Cook etc
Laaloo Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 All those years of Dhoni nepotism in ensuring that Jadeja plays finally paying dividend ;)

maniac Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 He must be doing something right.....there is no concrete answer as to what skills he has apart from line and length which is basic 101 for any bowler. Also discovering the beauty of youtube and posting a video does not help answering the question as to why batsmen are struggling against him. Anyways let him keep doing what he is doing...will take it. sandeep 1
mishra Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 @OP I read "misery" in place of "mystery". But after opening I read the title again
