Don't think it's Bhuvi vs Umesh for the CT. Bhuvi already had an excellent CT in England last time, and was good in England last tour. In line with Kohli's policy, he is the horse for the course in England.

The question is are we going to play a 3rd seamer or an allrounder, assuming both Jadeja and Ashwin are selected/play during the CT.

1) Rohit

2)Dhawan/Rahul

3) Kohli

4) Yuvi/Dhoni/Rahul

5) Dhoni/Yuvi/Rahul

6) Jadhav/Rahul

7) Ash

8) Jadeja

9) Shami

10)

11)

It's Bumrah vs Bhuvi vs Pandya for the last two places.

Biggest gain From this game have to be bhuvi

So

If its a flat deck and specially short ground- Bhuvi, Shami, Bumrah, jadeja, Pandya +yuvi n Jadhav

If it turns we can get in ashwin , i hope for the sake of Variety they keep Kuldeep. The guy could be a serious asset on flat decks where some variety is very essential

You do bring Yadav in almost every post of yours. The problem is with your knee jerk reactions. Everybody gets smashed in ODI's. It does not mean they should quit. BK has the record for the most expensive over by an Indian bowler does that mean he should never play ODI's?

Exactly....Even Bumrah went for 9 runs per over today

Can happen to any bowler on these big scoring pattas

Bumrah-Shami-Bhuvi cannot play together unless we are playing only 1 spinner

Pandya plays as an all-rounder

Pandya isn't sure shot selection for all champions trophy games if he doesn't do welll with the ball in next 4 games (last odi and 3 twenty20s). Kohli will be having a  close look at his bowling.

He does give us a great option as an all rounder but if bowling isn't consistent enough, his selection which results in leaving out a specialist bowler for him could cost us games at champions trophy.

I think playing Jadeja or ash at no. 7 is a bad move, they don't have the big shots. At no. 7 we need a big hitting all rounder

It's one game and it's not even over yet. Bhuvi went for 10 runs in 3 balls after you made the thread.

He has constantly proven himself in recent times with only a couple of exceptions. Hilarious you talk about 3 balls when umesh goes at 9 entire mAtch

Pandya will surely play as he is a big-hitting-batsman too and is not in competition with the specialist pacers.

Who would you have batting at no. 7 if we pick shami, bhuvi n bumrah?

Knee jerk was there when in Umesh's thread bhuvi's stats were shared dor no reason. Check that thread and see it. That is when the whole thing started. Asking for someone who might cost us games in future isn't knee jerk. His replacement which can do wonders for us like it showed today, isn't knee jerk.

Knee jerk is asking for Pandya to be dropped etc after one poor outing like today whichI am glad no one is doing.

Unless Pandya keeps improving and delivering with the ball, we will struggle to win consistently in ODIs.  We need his big-hitting at #7, and he simply has to deliver 6-8 overs for us.  Until he adds a few more effective variations to his armory, VK can't bowl him after the 38th over.  If Bhuvi is playing, hard to give Pandya the new ball in 1st 10.  So now VK has to use up whatever overs of Pandya in the middle stage.  He should be ok there.  Just not good enough for the death bowling as of now.

I talked about those 3 balls because that's when it happened and he made the thread. Umesh had just proven it last series apart from last game.

Except for bhuvi it was an exception, for yadav its the norm. What knee jerk are you even talking about. There is a reason we look at career economy and not one match
