Just in: Kuldeep Yadav replaces injured Amit Mishra for Bangladesh test...

Yes Kuldeep may do well in international cricket . But may not . I am not jumping on bandwagon here

wrist spinners struggle in world cricket at moment. Icf excited cos turns it . But nowadays bit of turn then straight one to hit pads and bring drs in to play seems to be the mode of success these days

but still Kuldeep exciting prospect . Good to see him get games and have good look at him

Kuldeep has accuracy and great control for a wrist spinner. It all depends on his variations(there are not many as a chinaman) but most importantly the lengths he would bowl. You have a restricted 'line range 'as a left arm unorthodox unless you use googlies more frequently which would be giveaway after a while.

I think he will do good in tests as well since he already has control one vital aspect of bowlers of his type.

This just means he is ahead of Chahal in eyes of selectors. He won't be in playing 11.

Most of the ICFers think the same..Kuldeep for longer format and YUZZ for shorter formats...

For once, selectors and ICFers think the same

Chahal hasn't gotten too many opportunites in the long format at the FC level. I look at him as the next great legspinner in world cricket.  He has the temperament and the skill-set.  He will go further than Kuldeep IMO - have said it before as well.

That's not to say Kuldeep isn't good.  I personally believe JY should be benched for Kuldeep in this one-off test.  BD batsmen will handle JY's bowling better than the English - Kuldeep is the better option for this match.  Let's see how VK handles this call.

Want Yadav to Bounce the hell out of Bangla bats. Get one leg slip also right from the first over. Bangla want an historic test, give them an historic pwnage instead.

:D

I think if there is even a bit of help for the pace bowlers, Yadav and Bhuvi can rip apart that batting lineup.  In the past, our team has often taken it easy a bit against weaker opponents.  I want to see them being ruthless.  Good chance of that being the case with VK at the helm.  BD are an improving test batting unit, but fragile enough and with enough flaws there, that a quality bowling unit should just boss them.

Good to see Kuldeep getting a shot......a chinaman bowler is a rarity in world cricket, almost mystery spinner level...should bamboozle the bongs if given a chance. Amit Mishra the test cricketer is as washed up as they come. Yes he is good in LOI's....but getting bucket loads of wickets when the batsman is trying to attack you is different from setting up batsmen, out smarting them when they are trying to play you out is a different ball game...case in point the bucket loads of wickets Sir Aggy has at a good average.

Kuldeep is the right move even though it took an injury to get him in.

Thing is Jayant is seen as proper all rounder . Third spinner role . Yes their are better spinner then jy but none of them can bat like he can . Saved our asses a few times and with ball frankly was great as well

 Plus great fielder

temperament excellent as well.

Fills the role needed to the letter

Has an excellent temperament...a classy cricketer, but is his batting that indispensable? I don't think so....with the ball doesn't seem a world beater. Our bowling which is our achilles heel would welcome another strike bowler..be it one of the fast bowling prospects or likes of Kuldeep Yadav.

If we are going up against a better team, maybe you could argue on JY's batting, but with Ash, Saha, and even Jaddu in the team.  Don't need JY's batting.  Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Sir tons up against BD, unlikely that he will get a chance though.

Kuldeep has a FC average of 33.Why is he so hyped?Am I missing anything?

He has a better chance of being good in ODIs if anything

Chinamen bowler I guess. Variety to the attack.

Can't select the bowler just because of that.Novelty factor wears too soon

Who's the best chinaman in modern era anyway?Brad Hogg?Clearly they dont work as people believe them to be

I agree with that. I want Chahal to play. But looks like he has to wait more time.
