What a load of tosh, Vijay scored more in the first innings that Dhawans two innings put together. He's coming back from injury, prior to which he was India's best opener.

The guy is way better than KL and Dhawan, which isnt saying a lot. he used to have very good discipline ouside the off stump but seems to have lost it.

He did not score more than Dhawan under same conditons.

His match fitness is his issue not mine.

he is currently not the best opener.

He is not better than Rahul or Dhawan currently.

Some excellent points..

But he is still not admitting that Practice match was much needed... two would have been great but we got None. May be he thought HE doesnt need practice match.. but others might have wanted it and it turned out they definitely needed one or two practice matches.. Other mistake was selection.. Bhuvi is actually a very good supporting batsman also.. he could have contributed in runs. If you dont admit your mistakes then face the consequence.

He must be hell of a lot mad at Pujara and Pandya for giving them easy run-out wickets..

how can this Bose DK ask commitment from the team when under his leadership

1. Chose to arrive in SA late because of his suhag raat.. and in the process forcing his yaars who needed practice to stay back just to stay in his good books.

2. Not scheduling enough practice matches

3. Dropping Rahul and Rahane when they were up for it.. Rahul lost his confidence and if Rahane is brought back in, he will implode too.

4. Busy shopping, sightseeing, selfies, advertisements

Aur commitment chaiye bhai?

Some retarded logic.

Dhawan scored more than VJ in 1st test under same conditions so Dhawan is better currently

But Vijay scored more than KL Rahul in 2nd test under same conditions but still Rahul better currently

No offense but you must have been dropped on your head as a kid.

Dhawan always was better. The first test just verified it.

I think your posts are full retard. Keep it up.

Bowling was not the problem. It was batting. For Indian batting to do well the opening stand has to do well. Vijay was the most consistent failure and then everyone fell like dominoes.

Bowling was certainly a problem too. No one really stood out and bowled a match winning spell in both the tests. They all just did enough to save their places but not enough to win the game. Like Shami who was badly struggling suddenly comes up with a spell but it was too little too late. Match was already slipping away. Regarding the, irrespective of what people say, it wasn't a subcontinental pitch. Spinners had one Wicket 2nd innings which never happen in SC.

TBH, before the match started most of us would have been happy if Shami was replaced by Ishant.

And we were right. He was poor this game when it really mattered. Didn't do anything great. His spell came when game was already slipping.

Both test there was not a single total posted that was unsurmountable. It was all achieveable if openeres did their job. Bowling kept it in contention. Batting blew it.

Hypocritical crap captain asking for commitment from the team when HE himself took time off to get married, did jack $hit to prepare for the series, etc.

You get what you give and captain is the first citizen of the team. Virat is showing he is a classic 'do as I say, not as I do' kind of half-man.

You want commitment ? learn from Kumble who bowled with a broken jaw or Tendulkar who came back and played 2 days after his dad passed away. That's commitment. Not the fake words of this fake leader.

He's not wrong in the sense that we let ourselves down.

We can all fault the selection, but there is no guarantee whoever played would've made a result changing impact.

The fact is, all the guys are capable and they didn't show up. There were soft dismissals, dropped catches, and constant releasing of pressure. Virat himself should also be criticised for his failings in this match

No one can guarantee the success but we can at least do best what's in our control. Team selection is one those things.

Scores are all dependent on pitches. SA scored and won means our bowlers let them score more than required.

Not just team selection. Squad selection was also a mistake atleast on one count. Reserve keeper should have never been Parthiv patel. Typically when we tour overseas we play couple of practice matches. Based on how the batsmen perform there we decide the starting XI. With no practice match they had to go by most recent form against low ranked Srilankan side in India.  Many fans knew India was carrying atleast 2 or 3 passenger into the first Test. It put pressure on other batsmen who had no practice either. India was grossly under-prepared for this tour. You could see the unprofessional display in both the tests. Apart from Kohli/M Vijay partnership we never looked like a well prepared side to take on one of the hardest home sides in the last 3 decades.

To be fair he did play for Delhi the day his dad died. So he is committed.

Not preparing for the tour because he had to copulate with Anushka was a screw up. He is definitely at fault. This all could be sorted out if the coach was strong but Shastri is the most useless person to coach any team.
