I thought Detective Byomkesh Bakshi was visually striking as well - the art direction in that movie was absolutely top shelf. 

 

Its a shame that movie didn't set up a franchise.  And a shame that the lead actor passed away in unfortunate circumstances.

Just because CGI was "unprecedentedly" good, doesn't make it visually 'striking'.
