Texan Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Pathetic SR. Looked like he was just struggling all through. After playing 100+ balls, minimum SR acceptable should be 100. If Rohit would have got out earlier, we could have had a much better total. sandeep and Rasgulla 2
maniac Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 NO......Yes great hitting in the death but he did lay the foundation....Yes,did lose momentum for a bit,but not a terrible innings by any means sarcastic and HippoSucks 2
Texan Posted June 4, 2017 Author Posted June 4, 2017 If we win this, it will be despite Rohit, not because of Rohit. Everybody else scored at SR above 100 and this guy was at 76 Gollum 1

Everybody else scored at SR above 100 and this guy was at 76 He could have easily upped it if he stayed for little more time and gone over 100 S/R. I am not defending his approach but let us be honest that is also good most of the time. He was supporting Shikar Dhawan when he was doing well and later on got out while accelerating later.
jusarrived Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 We are lucky we are playing pak , NZ and Aus may be would have chased this one . sandeep, AK007, StriKe and 1 other 4

Pollack Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Rohit's approach may not work against better bowling attacks. Gollum, Ironhide and velu 3

Yes good to get to a par score . That's what we have been reduced to , when we bat well we post a par total .
maniac Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 If you can't defend 324 with our bowling attack against this pakistani batting line up then it will be more than Rohit's fault....fire the entire team then

Cricketics Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I think he was struggling. He is clearly coming to his best but not their yet and hence even after scoring a 50, he wasn't able to strike and bat with same confidence as he used to after he would have put up 50 runs. It clearly shows that he is still not back to his best, as evident by the recent IPL run too. I think he is still the best opener in the country and needs to persisted with and we need to move on and accept that he is just not good enough or at his best right now but that is the best we got right now and we should back him and get behind him. He still gave us a good start or at least a start where we did not lose a single wicket early in this big game against Pakistan. AK007 1
vvvslaxman Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Today i am willing to give the benefit of doubt as India had two interruptions. Losing wicket was not an option. Also he was teeing off when he got out. He got into some rhythm. I was confident he would make up in the end. But I am glad he got out where he got out as Yuvi took India to another level. I have a clear memory of this match against SA way back India was around 190 for no loss with Tendulkar and Ganguly batting and I was supper mad cos they dint start slogging till the 43-44 over and we posted a 270 total with SA chasing it down quite easily . IIRC it was a wc or a ct match , now after 15+ years I find the team back in the same mode . I may have been very unreasonable back then , cricket was played differently but am pretty sure in 2017 this is not how you play cricket . It's disgusting to watch this guy bat with any intent can't believe he has a fan following Gollum 1

StriKe Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 No. But playing 60 dot is not fair..20-30 singles could have been scored.
