how can you remove Jadeja when his test bowling average is 23 something

when you say that his odi average sucks, fine... but there is no way Jadeja is going to be replaced before he fails in test cricket...

unfortunately it will one of the overseas tests in England or Australia because he might do well for himself in the company of ashwin in the subcontinent.

I would rather pick hardik > Rohit > Nair in that order

 

openers - vijay, rahul

middle - Pujara, kohli, rahane

lower middle - hardik, Saha, ashwin, jadeja

tail - Yadav, shami

 

its a good team, a wicket taking and a punishing team with the bat.

The path to international selection for Indian batsmen requires a level of consistency that Iyer hasn't shown so far.   Forget Badri, he first has to avoid becoming another Amol Mazumdar.
