agree this is not a bad team. we are in great form and we are not winning very easily. Their batting is strong and Coulter nile is at number 10 who is a handy hitter.

Dhoni won India one world 50 over cup and Indians treat as some kinda god. Smith, Ponting have won world cups, actually won series in SiythAfrica, England India. India on the other hand, we all know what happened to them with their god Dhoni as captain in SouthAfrica, Australia and England. 

 

Funny thing is, we Indians make fun of Bangladeshi fans but we are not better than them.

Finch makes a huge difference. He can play the anchor role and Warner can hit out. Cartwright blows. Finch adds depth to the batting lineup. Australia would have won both the matches if Finch wasnt ruled out or at least come really really close.

Besides Australia doesn't take ODI bilaterals seriously. Come WorldCup and they would be team to beat. The tournament that really matters a lot.

Well India reached ODI WC Final in SA.  And won a T20 WC in SA.   Bangladesh managed 144WWW even in conditions as close to home as any team would get.  So let's not get too carried away.

Err...India have actually won ODI series in AUS/ENG under Dhoni. Not to mention the CT in England.

Under Dhoni as well India has won CT in Eng, CB series in Aus, etc. The fact is Aus is struggling big time in subcontinent in last few years because of their inability to play spin.

yeah yeah we will see in the next world when its away from their home , they have flopped in numerous icc tournaments in recent times its not even funny

even in 2011 only capable side they beat in the tournament was nz and thats about it

He may be a hack against spin but he's a better option that anyone that has partnered with Warner and he adds depth to the batting lineup.

Damn that's sad but lets be honest. This is one of the weakest AUS team by far in the last few decades. It's not Smith's fault, it's the quality of players present in the team. Pointing inherited an outstanding team. You could literally put it on autopilot and that team would win you matches. Smith's team needs a tactically good captain to do the same job. Smith is a good player, but as a captain, not very good tactically.

Exactly. Very premature to laugh at the reigning World Champions. And its not like our ODI record in Aus vs Aus is great. 

 

For all the number 1 ranking and what we hold currently, we neither won the last World Cup nor the last Champions Trophy.
