KL rahul dropped after not even given a proper chance- Kohli said 2 series ago he is to good a player to sit out.........what happened now 

Iyer- What more does he need to do 

Karthik- how many more yrs of failure in international cricket he needs

Shami- he is our best bowler and he needs international match practice 

Shankar- overseas tours are coming and we need someone like him 

Pandey- good he is backed but he shud be on the edge now

KL Rahul out- what a backwards move, clearly has all the tools to succeed. At least he can play domestic and hopefully show good form. By that time, DK, MSD, Pandey should have flopped some more paving his re entry. 

 

Rahane retained- although I have my reservations about him in LOIs, you can't drop someone after the series he had against Australia  (even if his strike rate was on the lowish side)

If we don't experiment in useless series like this, then it's never gonna happen. No.4, 5 and spinners are all vacant spots for WC2019 and we ought to try more players.

Clearly, you don't know Rahul....he is injury prone and there are some issues in his body which is preventing him from being a part of the squad. Team management and Kohli know that. That's why he has been dropped for now.

This guy Dinesh Karthik made his debut before MSD came into scene, but he is still sent back to the Indian team by the selectors every time which disrupts the combination.

Even Pakistan did not persist with Yasir Hameed and Imran Farhat for that long..

Jayawardene saw young Akila Dhananjaya bowling in the nets and after some time he was playing in SL colors. Do these selectors/former players/captain have the ability to select random talented player in the team and groom him to become world class talent by giving enough chances?

1)looks like selectors are looking at Karthik as the replacement keeper for Dhoni for the world cup. 

2) I don't like Shardul cuz he leaks too many runs & is predictable.

3)Shreyas should have been there.

 Bhuvi n Bunrah became our first choice, 'cause Shami got injured in first place. A fully fit shami should walk in to this xi. 

Bumrah for all his death bowlin prowess is not that good while opening the bowling and Bhuvi has his good n bad days as far as wicket taking is concerned. 

 

Shami is the only bowler who has taken wickets consistently since he made his debut. Tell me how many bowlers we have or have ever had with a bowling avg of 25?

 

I get that we need to conserve him for test matches but that doesn't mean he should be out of the ODI picture completely,  after just 1 match. 

 

Ideally all 3 should be playing.

I still remember like yesterday..our batsman in Sharjah and elsewhere used to slog and it always used to fall in the hands of long on..or long off or deep midwicket. How far can Dhoni or Pandey or Jadhav hit in 2019 is questionable.

I hope KL Rahul smashes 3 centuries in South Africa, making a case for himself  to be in the ODI set up. He is your second best batsman, i can understand if he was dropped if he plays as an opener and failed.

Why is there so much surprise over Shami and Umesh being dropped. They have been identified as Test bowlers. They were just given a brief exposure to ODIs again..

 

Bhuvi, Bumrah, Pandya are the first choice ODI bowlers.. Thakur is a backup..

 

Rahul being dropped is shocking.. would have liked to see him get a few opportunities before being sidelined.. maybe he'll be back for SL

It's very obvious.. When was the last time some new kid was selected 1 and half yr before wc and actually went on play in starting XI of that WC. People should stop moaning and get used to it already.
