velu Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Anderson - 125 to 135 Overton - 120 to 130 Broad - 130 to 140 Woakes - 130 to 140 ( fastest average speed among these trundlers ) far slower than our bowlers when we were there last time Laaloo, Mosher, Rightarmfast and 2 others 2 3
G_B_ Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 honestly Stokes has faster bursts Broad is a real surprise
Gollum Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 England have looked very flat so far. Missing Stokes big time.

They have only 1 fast bowler, Mark Wood, who rarely plays. India has 3 fast bowlers in tests .... BeautifulGame Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Their bowling is a joke in Australian conditions. I mean not just all of them are trundlers but also zero vareity as well.Same Right arm medium fast sitting up nicely for Aus batters. Woakes and Overton look as bad as Vinay Kumar .M Ali looks like a club bowler as well out there . Warneris gonna murder them at Perth. Rightarmfast and velu 2

The Dark Horse Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 To be honest, Anderson bowled well today but yeah their speeds are limited.
G_B_ Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 i think the only way England were ever going to compete was with huge totals but with cook out of touch it falls on Root.
King Tendulkar Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Vinnay kukar and unadacunt should get uk passports express bowling, Laaloo, The Dark Horse and 3 others 6
speedheat Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Last time when their bowling attack looked threatening was way back in 2005 when they had 3 90mph pacers, but these English jokers never learn. Frustrated and express bowling 2
rkt.india Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Woakes was trundling today at 132-134 today when I saw. They are trying to fly Woods for Perth.
rkt.india Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Their fast bowler Jamie Overton is out with back fracture, Garton conceded 87 in 10 overs for Lions. Rightarmfast 1

And this is pre-2016 Yadav, i.e. his spray-gun days. Such bowlers can look worse than they are, especially as part of a weak bowling unit. I wouldn't hold Yadav's Aus performances against him at this point.
MechEng Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 England is not your typical outdoorsy country, it remains cold throughout the year so most of the time people stay indoors, which is why it is a tough place for fast bowlers to explore themselves and openly express themsleves. Australia on the other hand is a huge country with warm weather and lots of space, excellent place for outdoors and sports which is why they'll never run short of fast bowlers. I can draw parallels with college football in the US where the most elite performers come from warm southern states like California, Texas and Florida, and the lowest ranked ones are from colder states like New Hampshire, Wyoming and etc. velu 1
GolGappe Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Good observations. Four right arm bowlers bowling at 130kmph and a spinner who wouldn't make it to India D as a bowler. Badly missing a quicker bowler and a left armer for some variety. Although they have kept Australia scoring rate under 3 RPO but that's because this is probably the least lethal Australian batting line up in 30 years. I'd bet that English bowlers would love bowling at them in English conditions.
