The cover drives are beauty

 

the way he uses his feet against the spinners is a treat

 

absolutely love it that he is a busy body and keeps bowlers and fielders on their toes eventually tiring them out before punishing them

 

in ODIs especially his back foot game is really exciting nd the unorthodox shots behind the keeper are genuine creativity

 

Probably not a textbook batsman like a Dravid but definitely my favorite batsman these days.

 

and boy does he get the job done!

I find him ugly to watch. That makes matters even worse cos I have to endure him longer on the screen. 2018 will be torture with our bowlers up against him .

what makes it even more wonderful is that there is no obvious weakness. Bowlers still don’t know what line/length he is susceptible to and how to get him out

His ability to score runs supercedes anything else. Pure genius the guy is, I wish Kohli can be 90% the test batsman smith is.

to all those that say Bradman was head and shoulders above anyone that ever lived, Smith is averaging a whopping 82 in the 1st innings now, not a million miles from Bradman, and yet we debate Smith's claim to being the best because some don't like the way he bats. i've been saying for years that Bradman's outlier status is over-egged.

82 is still pretty far from 100 and there are 3 other innings. right now, stewie's stats are somewhat akin to sutcliffe and very far from bradman

of course he is a freak. by far the greatest test batsman of the 2010s.

But I still find his batting ugly to watch..

Props to him for being the man for a crisis time and again for his team but I find his batting very annoying to watch.
