Shami looks like "should I do this... Can't I just eat biriyani and go to sleep?"

Shami's usual pace range is 135 k to 145 k / 147 k ..... bowls lots of quick bouncers and hits the deck hard

 

Bowling 130 k to 137 k in this test in the first session  .....  not a single bouncer  and gently floating the ball in

Shami seemed much more focused mentally than Munaf  .....  looking different the series

Time to replace him with Umesh in next match. Ideally, Umesh should have played this match as he is a solid test bowler on flat tracks. Next match won't be on a flat track. SA have planned it smartly.

I'm not convinced with his run up. It all started during SL first innings of Kolkata test, he came back strong in the 2nd innings. 

Same thing happened in Capetown test also, it is not as smooth as before. Bowling coach Bharat Arun has to take note about it & also on his bowling speed.

Has hit the deck harder and got more bounce 

 

Better line and length too.

Solid bowler was averaging 50 on flat tracks in 2017 before one good series. Did nothing after that again

Does not help if you slip fielder drop 10-12 catches a series.
