Life is funny. It is not like DK got his form just now. He has been pretty consistent in domestic tournaments.  I remember he once had a great season with Mumbai and did reasonably ok in champions trophy. 

 

Seems all he needed was more fame and support. One T20 finish and one season as IPL captain and suddenly people like him and are supporting him..

With the kind of money that is flowing for him in the IPL auctions, KKD never needed to have the motivation to play for India again. But he worked hard, went through boot camp and came back strong. Hope he tries to make up somewhat before he retires.

His bad luck was being tagged as a WK batsmen and playing in the same era as Dhoni . I have no doubts had he been just a batsmen would have a far more successful international career by now . Playing for that one spot against Dhoni is too much pressure .

No he's not.DK is TERrible against swing and seam.

DK did well on his only tour to England when he played 3 tests in 2007.

 

At Lord's he got a 60, at Nottingham he got 77 and at the Oval he got 91. Certainly prefer him to Parthiv if needed for England.

Pappu is done ,we need to groom youngsters like Kishan and Pant and see if they perform well in non SC conditions.
