Austin 3:!6 Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 I suspect England should get a lead of about 200 by tonight. BUT all it takes is 1 wicket. I live about 80 Km from Lords and it is predicted to start raining this evening and all tomorrow "Big Time". So England Declare on a lead of 200 and India have to survive all Monday with a target of 200 +. Think they can do it?Rain forecast for monday tooSent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
chewy Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Excellent batting from Bairstow, looked abit uneased in 20s but now leaving good balls and smashing anything loose for boundary, in his aggressive mood
asterix Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Guess Kohli missed a trick in not bringing Ash early on... allowed Bairstow to settle down...Disappointed in Kullu... this is problem. Unless you try somebody out, you never know how it’ll pan out...

Indians are clueless right now on how to stop them. And then they will have a crack at our batters for 15-20 overs tonight itself.
chewy Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Woakes 50, first game of series gets wicket and batting well and Pandya
Moochad Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 That awkward moment when Bhaji mentions Kohli having a 6-pack
chewy Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Now Bairstow and Woakes toying with pacers, smashing them around
Shunya Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 They are toying with us now. I see declaration today itself with 15 odd overs for us to bat, we are dead.

With Vijay, Rahul, Rahane and Karthik struggling with the bat, it is difficult to visualize Ind mustering up a sizeable 2nd inning total Only an extra ordinary performance and rain can save India Revising my estimate to 270+ .... Hard for Ind to get 150+ in its 2nd inning for the reasons stated above
asterix Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 If England declares now, it can win this match by an innings...

They should consider washout tomorrow in the scheme of the things and have a go at our batters tonight itself. There is still 40+ overs remaining for the day. Should only bat 20 more overs and score 100 odd more runs which will take the lead to 220.
SK_IH Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Hats off to fans still watching ,looks like Woakes has also shown Pandya what all rounder is WC2011INDIA and chewy 1 1
sandeep Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Nothing is working, time to toss the ball to our savior, Pandya.
UrmiSinhaRay Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Kohli should stop playing and tinkering around with the line up. Patience helps to pay sometimes. Also his selections are pretty reactionary. Dekh Lena Pant is getting a test cap in Nottingham And Prithvi Shaw playing in 4th and 5th test. Suhaan 1
cric_fan Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Eng can declare now if they want. Lead is sufficient.
chewy Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Game changing session, infact India looked out of depth... reminder of 2011 England tour No Rabada, Starc, Cummins, India will always struggle
asterix Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 More bad performance, more pressure on Kohli - Shastri gang...Whatever happens is good for Indian Cricket... ThePhenomenal1 and coffee_rules 1 1

Iconoclast Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 I think we might see an English declaration today. Would be smart considering the rainy forecast for the last two days. beetle 1
