Issue is on this pitch when it's easier to bat, having 4 pacers is vital.

 

If one fails the workload on the other 3 increases. It's too early to bring the spinner on but India has no other option.

Even if Eng bats 20-30 overs,  Ind would have to bat for an hour today and then again in bowler friendly first session tomorrow, so it could potentially lose 5-7 wkts before the 2nd session on Day 2

Why the eff are pandya and bumrah bowling over the wicket. Bowl around the wicket and cramp them for room. Especially pandya.

Older ball, if they see Bumrah and Ishanth off then they have a chance of crossing 150. Shami needs a breather and likely Pandya will come back again after tea, England will wait for that.

Even if Eng gets bowled out, it has the opportunity to go at India in relatively good bowling conditions, i.e. last hour today and 1st session tomorrow. So can potentially pick up 5-7 wkts in 3 hours

I'm hoping for a 150+ lead, but need to get England wrapped up below 180 for that.  You can bat on this track once you get in.  Openers will be key.  If they do well, I can easily see us putting up a 400 here.
