If pandya was injured shud have taken vijay shankar

So we will jst have 4 bowlers on Aussie patta and long ground when WC is on head, workload on bowler is insane

Now out of 5 fast bowlers

Shami can get injured anytime

Ishant will be coming back from injury

Bumrah workload is insane

We will play rohit ahead of vihari so no one to bowl extra overs , even if vihari plays...he ll be smashed in Aus

Rohit back?! Fan of him but idk if he deserves place in middle order maybe try as opener.
He'll be the other opener alongside Prithvi.

He wants to open now - so he'll
Question is Will he drop his plans for captaincy and let Kohli grab the greatness of hoisting the cup once?
Knowing Nita Ambani - I doubt!!!!

Virat Kohli(c), Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Parthiv Patel, R Ashwin, R Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Shami, Ishant, Umesh, Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Comments / Questions:

  • Openers: What happened to Agarwal?
  • WK: Was Parthiv the only back up option?
  • Considering that the squad size is 18, they have accommodated the 3rd spinner and an extra batsman
  • Pacers: No Siraj

The best part about trips to SENA is watching new players / youngsters do well. This squad has Shaw, Pant, Vihari, Kuldeep and Bumrah. But a couple of them (Vihari and Kuldeep) may not get chances. Initially, even Shaw might have to sit out if they open with Vijay and Rahul

It is just hard times for Indian Cricket fans:

You think they won't make errors in South Africa? Selectors + Coach + Kaptaan: Hold my wedding samosa and dance.

You think maybe they learned in England: You hold my beer, belly and wife with shopping bags.

You think they learned anything in Australia: F U mate, shows middle finger.

Whole thing is just giving me headache.

Mayank Agarwal was rested for the 2 tests vs WI and instead  Shardul who was virtually reduced to a spectator  was played in. Now Mayank is fully dropped . Don't know what these morons are doing.....

This msk prasad is look like knowledgeable mad.he bring lot of youngster in team and dropped in next series.always recycle discarded player.drop rohit , pappu , Vijay in eng and bring in aus, make everyone confused.

And 18 members squad, that's just too many... 7 of them will have a nice Aussie vacation. Pappu patel has been playing cricket for last 16 yrs lol there's already DK in Aus t20 squad, he could have been asked to stay back for tests if they needed a 2nd wck ..why pick Pappu, someone in bcci really loves him

Likely 11 for the 1st (and 2nd) test

Vijay

Rahul

Pujara

Kohli

Rahane

Rohit

Pant

Jadeja / Ashwin

Shami / Yadav / Bhuvi

Ishant

Bumrah

Ifr we are 0-1 or 0-2, 11 for the last two tests

Shaw

Rahul / Vijay / Rohit

Pujara

Kohli

Vihari / Spinner

Rohit / Spinner

Pant

Kuldeep

Shami

Ishant / Yadav

Bumrah

W/o a proper AR like Pandya, we will probably play an extra batsman unless pitches assist spin to accommodate another spinner as the 5th bowler

WTH are siraj and mayank?

How can murali vijay be brought back without giving mayank a chance?

Pandya absence means we will be forced to play 5 bowlers.Siraj would have been good backup.

Rohit sharma is good addition as he can play both middle order and opener and his technique is suited to aus pitches.
