can't do that Virat don't have the guts to drop him from playing 11. And he will torture us till 2019 WC. like sachin did after 2011 world cup. These stars just don't know when to hang their boots. they are causing downfall of team just coz they are stubborn.
He does have the guts - can't do that because of marketing /sponshorship reasons.

Dhoni is a huge brand - that's why we can see so many social media efforts going behind Risabh Pant too.
Problem is these marketing strategies coming too early -it would have been better to choose 2 players and equally give them chance until they succeed.

Why do you think this is PR and not the author's genuine emotions? Look at the amount of Dhoni praise in that article. Why does any criticism of an obviously failing player has to be PR? There is a difference between understanding that some politics and PR happens and painting every single thing as only PR. The later is Alex Jones conspiracy theory category.

That's because Media in India is a sell out and nothing comes out unless paid by powerful people.
Also this is published Times Of Chindia out of all the publications.
Even less chances of being a honest article.

That's why few days back everybody was going Gaga over Rohit the Captain and now nobody is talking about Kohli the fail captain.

I think the current media strategy is to make Dhoni the scapegoat and escape Criticism of his own awful leadership/ man management skills .
All these Dhoni/Pant comparisons, etc etc are coming up because he is trying to steer attention from his own Bullshit ways.

Unfortunately - it is only the more devoted cricket nerds who he managed to convince that Pant is a hard hitting superhero who we are keeping out so that we can blame Dhoni for WC19.

The general cricket crowd - definitely might not be oblivious to the fact that Dhoni is past his expiry date but the universal school of thought is Kohli is a crap captain

Yes- people might blame Dhoni temporarily, at the end it is Kohli who is going to be national embarrassment.
I remember back in CT17 They lost the cup embarrassingly and then blamed it on Kumble.
At the end - it is Kohli who is known to be the Disrespectful Brat and idiot Captain.

To represent country is huge honer, its not like Dhoni is bankrupt so he need backing. To me as of now he does not fit in playing eleven i know he has good experience but that is not enough to win you matches, he has became a noob with bat in hand. which is derailing team from good totals big time.

Even in his last innings Sachin scored a fluent 70 odd. And he didn't hang around to screw our chances in a world cup. Loser Dhoni can't even bash minnows these days. He is so done but selectors and braindead Kohli don't have the balls to drop him. Kohli is a robot who is programmed to score runs and sucks at man management. He should resign captaincy and focus on adding more records to his name.

if you remember Sachins 100th 100 against Bang bros which we lost. It was due to his slow innings we were below par. He was a great batsman, but he did prolonged his carrier.
