First one was a long hop. The rest of the wickets are from batsmen playing too early and lofting the ball. No clean bowled, no stumpings, etc to demonstrate his ability to outfox the batsman. The team that hired him must have watched a much more detailed highlight reel than this one!

I am curious how this works. Do they not pay him but claim that 8 cr as an expense? Do they pay him a lesser amount in cash? Why would he keep quiet about it?

They pay him, but show it as expenses. How the money was "earned" originally is the issue. Once it gets paid out then it is "laundered" since the frauds accounted for it - which they "earned" illegally/didnt pay tax.

Okay, so they pump money from shady sources I to IPL, launder it by spending like a drunken sailor to bid for players and then whatever money is left over becomes clean, available for use.

He would still need to pay 30% tax on his income of 8 crores, ignoring the small slabs until 10 lacs. How is it money laundering then, does he end up showing much lesser income as his actual income in the end ? This would all shine up in an audit.
