Exactly. Backing up now will make him feel like coward. I am not saying start a war...but atleast do some firing on LOC.

Yeah.. Going full throttle on terror camps inside and near LOC is the minimum we expect from this govt. Why do we always wait for ceasefire violation. This is not done.

Pakistan has always lost against us in all wars and conflicts. After the attack on 3 terror camps it is already on another high. Surely they will get the job done further as well. BJP is giving deaf ears to Imran Khan's calls to end the war. Personally I feel this war too is handled well in spite of the stupidity shown by opposition.

Did any of those terrorists die in these attacks??

Goal is to get Pakistan to stop supporting terrorism.  At a minimum, we have changed the equilibrium, as well as the PakMil mindset and calculations when it comes to their policy with "non state actors".    They are, and have been, desperate for "talks" for quite some time now.  We can dangle the possibility of that, provided they demonstrate sincere and meaningful intent towards even a cold peace.  Not through words, but through action.  Concrete steps against the likes of LeT and JeM - extradition or the equivalent.  Lip-service bans and "arrests" are not going to be enough.

In the meantime, there is a very small window - days, more like hours, where Indian forces can get some punches in.  By all means, that should happen in a targeted fashion, especially in areas where we can minimize risk of casualties, and hope to achieve tangible gains - maybe grab a few ridges or geographic features along the LOC.

The other alternative is a continuation of the undeclared air war.  I don't really want to see it go down that road.  But its within the realm of possibility.
Think you are missing a point. Yes, goal was to stop Pakistan from supporrting terrorism and we targetted their terror camps. Pak on the other hand attacked our civilian army bases. So we should just let it go? Nah.

I am a big Modi fan and BJP supporter. But if we do nothing after this...even I will not support this govt.

Ind also plays into Pak hands by separating JeM from Pak Army. If Ind can use the separation to its advantage it is great, but here Pak is using it to its advantage .... Ind attacks terror camps, Pak attacks Ind .... and we still hesitate to call them as one

no one gives a damn about being factually or ethically correct .... you started it, now finish it off by entering PoK (or further if required) :hitler:

War is very calculated and careful endeavor and it takes time to playout. If you want instant gratification i suggest you turn to sport.

To those impatient morons who are demanding answers/results: Calm the fork down.

The problem of terrorism is decades old and can't be solved in a week.

Getting our pilot back is one short term objective. There will be many other long term ones like elimination of terrorist leadership on a regular basis.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.

Forces have crossed LOC for first time since 1971. We attacked 3 camps just a day before in their territory. Give them time. Let our forces strike when they find it best during this war rather than being on offensive every hour. This is a war. Let it take few weeks or months. We have a great track record against Pakistan.

So are you suggesting Ind crossed the border without proper planning and considering various escalation scenarios?

we made a statement to pakistan by visiting deep inside pakistan territory ..

pakistan now claims that they too visited indian territory  ..

pakistan now claims that they shot our mig-21 well inside from their territory and not chest thumping clearly shows that they want to deescalate ..

now sit back and relax ..

if we want to escalate it further it will be a small scale war ..

if neither side doesnt back down , then probably a full scale war ..

Exactly, I didn't vote Modi to be a replica of MMS. Modi and Army chief needs to come up with a counter attack. Right now all it looks like is Modi did a mischievous thing and Pak taught him a lesson...

There is no need to disclose videos before war is over. It is often undisclosed as policy decided during meeting with government or to keep enemy hidden from minute details. Trust the air forces that they have demolished terror camps. If we cannot even trust our soldiers then we cannot trust anyone. They will be feeling how fickle minded civilians are who they die for bit in return get asked questions like did they really destroy something or just did Bollywood acting.

what is embarrassing for Ind is that Pak despite its relatively weak economic and conventional military strength is not backing down .... there is no way we can earn respect if we always seek to take the easy route out

It has only been 2 days !! Economically they are very poor but certainly not so weak that they will fail within 2 days. Play it like our previous wars. They will collapse after resistinv for some duration as in past.

Ind has not given PoK to Pak, which implies that it wants to eventually change the map

Bullshit.  India harbors absolutely no ambition of 'recovering' Gilgit Baltistan, or Muzaffarabad from Pakistan.
