Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk He doesn't decide batting order. He has no authority. It is Kohli that decides. He was at the selection table as well. Actually Rohit sharma was the one who promoted him at.3 if i am right. Until then he was languishing down the order. Even in Nidahas he promoted shankar above KKD. He is not a man you want in the end overs. If Jadhav plays Shankar won't play and vice versa. It will be a shoot out between Rahul and Karthik depending on the captain.

Infact did slog well for SRH to at start ...now has just trailed off which can happen. Ur making it sound like this hasnt happened before with anyone

Vijy Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 he got a couple of wkts but that's more down to pak ineptness. batting was terrible. jadhav should have entered earlier

If our score is 60/2 after 12 I would prefer Shankar over the rest, otherwise he should come at number 7. Vijy, AK007 and Stan AF 3

gakgupta Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Well...When we talk a about worst players to represent India in world cup, the list is huge and many come ahead of Vijay...I started watching world cup matches from 1992 and I was a kid...I couldn't remember everything but I remember I thing for sure...Ajay Jadeja use to come as opener and go religiously before entering double figures...he should be the worst player who played the world cup..Ajay Jadeja is the star player in the next world cup which is 1996..... Still can't forget his innings against Pakistan ...esp against Waqar Younis...Back then, he was considered to be best pace bowler in world....In 1996, Raju was the worst player..In 1999 world.cup, Ajit agarkar was the worst player....he single handedly made sure, indian doesn't qualify for knock offs....He made sure Zimbabwe won against us.....he bowled huge number number of no-ballsIn 2003, dinesh mongia was worst ..In 2007, Dhoni was the worst player..In 2011, I didn't understand why Kohli was playing...Point, I am trying to prove was1) what we think is worst now, could be good in the next world cup.2) there are definetly worst player than Vijay who represented India in world cup -- Raju, Dinesh Mongia.I have seen very good innings from Vijay in Ranji in turning land mines. He is by far the best player of spin bowling in the current team. All he needs to do is....stay fit and treat intl match like a domestic game...He is technically very good batsmen ......don't treat him like a allrounder. His bowling is bonus.Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk AK007, Forever Indian, Sachinism and 2 others 5
gakgupta Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Yeah right, specialist batsman who has to wildly slog whenever he is under pressure. He is not a specialist ODI batsman that's for sure. You took 10 odd games to decide that ....If you would have watched Kohli in his initial stage, you would have totally rules him out...Against NZ and AUS, he looked better than Kohli in the middle overs....that's a huge compliment...He is still young to intl game and sometimes, he makes mistakes like slogging to get out of shell....he will learn slowly ....give him some timeSent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk AK007 1

Vilander Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Vijay is not a hit from fist ball batsman - he does seem to have a power game though when settled. He is military medium pacer with no variations. Limited cricketer, India will do better with someone better.
