I think IPl 2019 been scripted perfectly for a Dhoni farewell

Dhoni’s retirement being discussed is from a International cricket, not IPL...

Indian selectors situation can’t be compared with Aussie ones... In India successful players are treated as Demi-Gods...Then you've politicians involved in Board administration. On top you’ve huge money involved in players endorsing or advertising... Finally the selectors themselves are small time ex-players who have inferiority complex... It’s difficult for them to take bold decisions unless backed by the Board itself...

PS: Not to forget if the Captain himself is incompetent to lead and depends heavily on the player (whom you expect to retire) to help in captaincy...

Hayden was dropped after failing in his last season. Ponting was dropped from the ODI squad still playing in the triangular tournament in that season and next season he was asked to retire gracefully or get dropped. I dont think they went soft on the players. Thats why I said, evaluate on a yearly basis. Some of them perform a few years past the due date.

If Dhoni cared about his legacy, he should retire. If not, he has to be dropped. He didn't announce his test retirement in advance. So I think he will retire through a press conference after the wc. He is not a dramabaz like Sachin who wanted entire India to worship him when he retired by announcing before. Announcing before also takes the focus out of winning the world cup and on his retirement.

They cut loose Michael Bevan as soon as the 2003 world cup ended. He was only 33-34 at the time. Their reasoning at that time was that he would be too old by the next world cup, so they might as well dump him right away. By that same yardstick, Hayden should have been cut off after the 2007 world cup and Ponting after 2011. But that didn't happen. After both of them had extended slumps they were told to go but they should not even have been allowed to stay on if the same ruthlessness was applied as in Bevan's case.

yes first class = T20 let us look at syed mustaq ali tournament stats. In first class you win by scoring big in first innings. That is not a win technically lol Just a draw.  Looking like an idiot is an art. You are an expert in that.

We are not talking about scripting by bookies... it’s official scripting to make every match going on wire and only best marketed teams going to the finals...

There are some teams that play very well upto a point and suddenly show a significant drop in their performance. KKR this season with all the batting power lost 6 matches in a row.
