The pressure on the opposition is relentless. 2 genuinely quick bowlers and 2 wrist spinners. And all are low average genuine wicket takers. Give our bowling attack a 300+ score and they will defend it 99/100.

Stan AF Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Shami is a must along with Bumrah and Chahal in all the games from now on. These three should always bowl their full quota if we were forced to bowling 1st in every game from now on and especially in the knockouts. Mosher 1
DHONI_FANN Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 One left arm quickie like Navdeep Saini will further improve our attack

Stan AF Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 And I'm not a fan of Kohli introducing Chahal as late as the 17th or in the 18th over in almost every single game. Even yesterday Kedhar was introduced before him.

But this Khaleel guy should be kept away from Indian Cricket as long as possible Khaleel is a fantastic talent and is just 21 years of age. Also had a very good start to his one day career. People are being harsh on him. This IPL, he showed he is fast learning. This was his first IPL but he bowled like a seasoned campaigner, was third 3rd highest wicket taker among Indian bowlers, just 2 behind Deepak Chahar that is when he played just 9 games, 8 less than Chahar. He could have easily topped the charts had he played all games for SRH. DHONI_FANN 1

Khaleel was bowling 127 k to 138 k in most ODIs he has played after the Asia Cup. And it was not just drop in pace but he changed his bowling style too. From a hit the deck bowler who could get the ball the bounce steeply from just short of a length, Khaleel starting floating the ball up and his reduction in bounce was significant in the ODIs he played. flamy and Mosher 2

He was getting his style back in IPL. He did bounce out batsmen there. I can say change in his action is a transition to get ht l left armer's inswing going. He did not have a stock delivery for a left armer before, which he has been trying to develop and in that process changed his style but he will eventually develop and become the mix of both styles.

Only time will tell what he will become. Pacers coming from simple backgrounds are often led astray by too much contradictory advice from multiple sources. Mosher 1

chewy Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 People luv him or hate him, also it's been heartening to see Pandya still bowling around 140kph and sometimes 145 kph might not get his lengths right and get tonked but he doesnt compromise on speed randomGuy 1

I think TM wanted him to add inswing to his bowling and be a wicket taker upfront . That was desparate attempt by TM as Shami was not in contention at that time . But to me with his action , he may not be able to achive much in swinging the ball a la Wasim. Now since he is not in WC , he is going back to his original style and pace may pick up soon. If practices hard at NCA i have no doubt , he will be 140+ bowler consistently. Speed seem to come to him naturally. I think he must improve cutters by copying a few tricks of Fizz . With his height his cutters should get lot more bounce from good length with varying pace and he will pick up more wickets when slog is on. Even Amir now has become wicket taker in last spell due to his well directed cutters. Worth investing in this Lad for short format.
