Now tell me wise guys: prefer Bhuvi's economy or Shami's wickets?

In crux gams vs top teams e.g. NZ, Australia, RSA, Pakistan. Bhuvi invariably delivers.

Which games, the last WC or CT? In both cases BK has been outperformed by Shami, heck BK was missing in the last WC IIRC.

Bhuvi has taken 5 wickets in 2 matches against the likes of Australia and south Africa so it's not like he is not taking wickets either. However on current form shami will be ahead of him

Shami should always be ahead of him. Even though he is not an effective death bowler, but he makes up with his wickets, which should be the #1 priority.

And bhuvi should be ahead of him in tests.

But shamis wickets being against Afghanistan  and west indies last two matches don't count?

See this is what I don't like about you guys, the absolute hypcorisy and double standards. a million excuses to put down bhuvi, a million excuses to hype bowlers you like

Look BK's good on tracks where there is movement, over there I'd prefer him over Chahal with Kuldeep being the lone spinner. Also why are you mixing formats, when talking about their career figures?

Why is bhuvi test place questioned them and why is shami ahead of him in tests when his stats are head and shoulders ahead if shami in tests?

I am not against Bhuvi in tests on overseas tours apart from Australia. I still remember Bhuvi was wrongly dropped from 2nd test against SA on that SA tour.

But no way he is getting ahead of Shami in ODI's and test matches. Bhuvi hasn't played enough on flat Indian wickets where Shami has done well or has credentials to do even better consistently.

Because there is a clear hypocrisy when people quote his and shamis stats in lois but ignore the stats in tests. Double standards

Yes suddenly all your stats disappear and a million caveats come? I can guarantee if bhuvi had taken wickets last over again Afghanistan and west indies with them blindly swinging, you would have pointed that out

As I said you guys are big hypocrites

Because bhuvi has taken 3 wickets per test, shami 3.6 and has a bit better SR too.

Only in your dreams.Bhuvi is no way better than Shami in tests or ODI's. If bhuvi plays same number of test matches on flat India  wickets, the so calles stats that you speak of will take a massive hit and in a long test series he would be bowling pies at high 120's.

The right answer is both.  Particularly on tracks like these, against teams that don't **** their pants at the sight of wrist spin. Bhuvi could have given us control in the 1st and last 10, while Shami would have been hard to slog in the middle phase.

You do realize BK can go for as many runs as Shami.

But you are almost guaranteed he'll never go for 70 80 runs like our spinners today.  Not only that, he bowls at good economy rate in the last 10.

What hypocrites? Even in another thread RKT told you about number of wickets and averages, and showed you how Shami still has more wickets per match and here you still are talking about stats. Don't act like a blind Dhoni bhakt.

A wicket taker like Shami would always be considered a better bowler than a economical bowler like Bhuvi apart from maybe by few Bhuvi fanboys.

Easy choice.Wicket taking bowler. On flat pitch, everyone is going to be expensive. Wickets are the only way to restrict batsmen to have few quiet overs which are very crucial to bring the overall score down.

BTW who told you Bhuvaneshwar is a good death bowler. The death bowler in him is dead nowadays. He maybe marginally better than other choices in death but it isn't worthy on flat pitches. He is going to be tanked as well plus wouldn't even pick wickets. :giggle:

He has gone for over 100 runs. So can't rule out anything. Yes, might have been better than Spinners but you never know. Don't think they would have dropped a spinner anyway to play him.
