Now tell me wise guys: prefer Bhuvi's economy or Shami's wickets?

Let me just re iterate the concept- you want wickets as it reduces the number of runs needed. What's the point of someone like Shami who gets wickets but then causes more damage and upheaval with his runs leakage. Given me Bhuvi's economy and death bowling attributes any time

It's tough to say.  On this pitch and the form that Stokes is in, Bhuvi may have been belted for 60-65 runs too.  Just a few slogs and hacks in every over reaching the fence could result in 30-35 runs in 3 overs.

Lol wut. Breaking the middle order by taking wickets  in the middle overs is absolutely necessary. You are saying  as if Butler and Co wouldn’t tonk Bhuvi around on a flat pitch.

On a good bowling surface both are equal.

nice try....it's not as if Bhuvi has ever done well in a big game on a flat wicket

What do you mean random numbers? Over their entire LO career Shami is in a different league wrt BK, that's a fact. However that also comes at the risk of exactly what we saw today.

Only in india will a bowler who has taken 13 wickets in 3 matches be questioned. Sometimes I feel Bhuvi fans doesn't even understand bowling.

Why is bhuvi test place questioned them and why is shami ahead of him in tests when his stats are head and shoulders ahead if shami in tests? Let's see who understands bowling here

Even as a Bhuvi fan this thread is ridiculous. Shami bowled brilliantly except couple of overs at death and if he had not got key wickets by his short balls the final score would have nearer to 450

Shami has bowled brilliantly in all 3 matches he has played. Ideally on this flat pitch we should have had 3 fast bowlers over a spinner, doubt bhuvi would do worse than chahal did

Then who is going to take wickets? We already have one economy bowler in Bumrah. Kumar is just an inferior version to him.

Bhuvi has taken 5 wickets in 2 matches against the likes of Australia and south Africa so it's not like he is not taking wickets either. However on current form shami will be ahead of him

not really interested in Shami's better overall numbers which include vs Afghanistan and Zimbabwe types. In crux gams vs top teams e.g. NZ, Australia, RSA, Pakistan. Bhuvi invariably delivers.

Bk only plays on green tracks, especially in India :flute:

But shamis wickets being against Afghanistan  and west indies last two matches don't count?

See this is what I don't like about you guys, the absolute hypcorisy and double standards. a million excuses to put down bhuvi, a million excuses to hype bowlers you like
