Has Domination of England Cricket Started in Short Formats?

I think it has. They will dominate next decade with their player most being at their peak currently. If they keep working hard like they did after 2015 wc loss then they will surely be as good as aus or west indies once was. What you guys think? will england be able to dominate world cricket?

they did not dominate this tournament as much as they could have. they also have holes in the bowling, most notably in spin. But I do expect them to be among top contenders for LOI trophies.

Now that they have won the title, there won't be choker kind of tag or they should know how to win big moments so with current team they have i doubt any team currently close to them right now.

What we tend to forget Australia was miles ahead of other teams during 1999-2007 period and other were just not good enough.

 

Same is not the case with England.

West Indies in recent years hasn't been as good t20 team as it was couple of years ago but still you will always consider them among favorites.

This wasnt even a domination to start with so why to expect in future . They lost to SL n Pak ......and reality if not for these stupid rules they didnt even win today

I doubt they wud have won the WC had it been played in subcontinent. Unless their batsman become all condition players their wont be any domination from them. Neither i think they have the bowling attack to do so

while it can be debated if Eng can continue to dominate, it did exceptionally well to win/tie 4 KOs games (including two virtual KOs for it) in a row. No team has been able to do that against high-quality teams (beat all the other SFs). To chase 240 odd in a final in these conditions vs. NZ's bowling and fielding is a commendable job. If we pick one team to chase it down, it would be Eng

these are all knee jerk reactions to say the least  .... except for  GOAT teams  like 80 Windies &  Aussies of 95-2008 ,  domination thru out is virtually  impossible. It is just that fluctuations  of small pieces  of luck  & performances on the given day that decides the winners. For instance had India won the toss vs NZL , the final winner of the trophy would have been even some other nation.

Looks like people here  haven't noticed but they have been ranked #1 for quite some time and dominating everyone in ODI's for the last 2-3 years now. They have had series wins in SA/Aus and a tied series in NZ. They lost in India but India also lost to them last year in england.

They went to the final in the T20 WC last time around. Already one of the contenders for the T20 WC next year.

The win yesterday is actually a confirmation of their domination. They are #1 ranked, and won the WC as a team of their rank would be expected to.
