Singh bling Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 https://www.newsx.com/national/forget-us-dollar-indian-rupee-loses-against-bangladeshi-taka-now.html
mishra Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Indian Rupee is very expensive. It needs correction. simple as that. It needs to devalue atleast 20%. below is the mess Modi created in past 5 years which made INR very strong in region
G_B_ Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Forget the bangladeshi taka, Indian rupee is gaining against the Euro, British Pound and Yen Forget the bangladeshi taka, Indian rupee is gaining against Pakistani Rupee and Sri Lankan rupee for the last one year. How long as these propaganda websites going to publish anything to suit their narrative? I can selectively pick countries to suit my narrative.... For the record a strong taka is not in the interest of Bangladesh considering their textile exports. Textile exports from India Pakistan and China become that much cheaper... sergio04, Moochad, Number and 4 others 2 5
beetle Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Singh bling just keeps looking for anything negative he can cling to.

So why is INR Rupee so strong? Who is responsible for it?

India may have low growth but we are macro economically sound unlike 2013. The current weakening of the rupee is welcome and a necessary reaction to the chinese weakening their currency in relation to countering tariffs from USA. Otherwise our trade balance will be further skewed with them. A lot of these exporter oriented countries (like china) artificially ensure that their currency is weak. Then you have UK and Euro which is embroiled in political turmoil which is causing their currencies to be low. Bangladesh are actually foolish to let their currency appreciate. India has a diverse economy with multiple sectors. BD loses their cost advantage in textiles they will come crashing down. chewy and The Dark Horse 2

Unlike singh bling thread headline, the graph is exactly opposite and shows how rupee jumped against taka. That jump happened in 2014. So mistakes got committed there. As there were effectively no economic fundamentals that could have changed so quickly apart from Modi/BJP goodwill
Deleted_User_1 Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 This is literally Bang bros phuck de India!!
Stan AF Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Please. The big deal actually is Bangladesh per capital income will soon overtake India's PCI.

If we send the illegal Bangladeshis back, won't be the case. And Toygers don't even have a military or hostile enemy to speak of, huge advantage.

If things do get better in the next decade or two for them they will be tempted to go back on their own. Edited September 5, 2019 by Stan AF
Stan AF Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Not to mention our country's wealth/income inequality is very worse. Most of the wealth that is made in the country directly goes to the top 1% and the rest are left to fight with the remaining.

G_B_ Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 And i mention this again, just strong growth in nominal rates means bd will lose their competitive advantages in textile exports to likes of Cambodia laos etc Not something they want at this stage of development. China just devalued their currency at 10%. Not a time to for currency rise. India is doing the wise thing by mirroring chinese currency decline.

Even the ppp per capita will be overtaken if our job losses and economy continues in this way. Not to mention the population explosion.
