In the past Indian fans have burnt down stands, started in the 60s itself. Racist taunts, throwing bananas at WI players, throwing other objects, vulgarity aimed at cheerleaders, disrupting proceedings etc, we are no saints ourselves.

Remember what happened in Baramati T20 against RSA 4 years back? Just because we were losing badly...

It's just that we have social media these days which serves as an additional platform to display our pathetic attitudes unhindered. 

We as fans were quite bad too in the 90s. Bangladesh is probably going through that same phase in their cricketing history and social media is amplifying it more and presenting them in even poorer light.

You have some weird anecdotes and no proof. Indians are no angels but apart from that symonds incident I can't recall any racist taunts and I've been watching since the 90s. If someone was throwing bananas at WI players, it would be in the front page news. You are being melodramatic. Were you living in the 60s to witness these things or do you have any news articles. Most of the bottle throwing towards players usually happens at Kolkata and surrounding regions. Never encountered such things in Chennai or Bangalore

Afghan fans already started a riot during their game vs Pak in the WC. In fact beat a few of the Pak fans
