I hear the misuse of the word/slang kid here so often... Have we all become dadu..for me a kid is like 6-10 year old and not the age fudging cheaters even if they are actually 16-18 years old.

Because it is fraud. If he came through the junior cricket system having an unfair advantage over his peers that amounts to cheating.

 

We have pointed out the shady ages of some of our own players . However atleast someone born in the 80s in a remote area  before things were totally computerized in the sc, may get the benefit of doubt but 16 years means this guy was born in 2003. What’s his excuse? It is deliberate fraud.

Did you watch the interview I posted ?

 

He was born in Lower Dir (mountainous Taliban land) his father did not let him play cricket and he snuck out and played tape ball. He got noticed and eventually was sent to Lahore academy at a disadvantage because of not playing proper cricket before.

 

He has hopped huge hurdles and the possible fact that he a few years older than his stated age means little to his incredible story.

It is not his fault. The PCB is usually synonymous with letting players with dodgy ages play for a few years now. Afghanistan well makes sense because of the lack of system what is Pakistan’s excuse?

Has a decent bouncer.  

 

Has not bowled the good length ball that well yet ... and has not moved the ball much yet, partly due to the conditions.

Whatever the jokes we make about his age he is at max 20-21 and doesn’t have FC experience and playing his first test. Given that very impressive

They don’t have proper seniors bowlers. Who will guide him an entitled ex-fixer with a lazy work ethic? A brainless bowler who has pace but is inconsistent?  Then there is Afridi who himself is a kid. The rest themselves are playing for their spot.
