Is Shardul indeed a good finisher team India needs?

He seems to time balls very well and hit some good shots. He is pretty good in running between wickets. 

His bowling is not bad too for a fifth bowler. 

Should Shardul be groomed as a finisher for team India?

Dont know about Shardul but Jaddu is better replacement of Jadhav. he is good player when he gets good amount of time/overs

Jaddu is a good test bat .. 

He has limited range of shots but dont have any obvious weakness other than his typical panic mode during crunch times

Shardul plus jadeja is a decent 5th bowling combo . Good fielders too . 
as regards bowling both don’t get in automatically but say you bat them at 6 and 7 with bumrah shami chahal / kulcha pandya / sundar , u have a good attack and decent depth . Add a dhawan , dubey and remove jadhav and u are golden .

but the attack needs wicket takers - at least 3

Jadeja is making himself viable again in all formats.He is your fifth bowler which he does very well.He should go to next t20 and depending on match he should be played.

 

I have more faith in Jadeja scoring runs than Pandya in odis.When was last time Pandya remained unbeaten in a winning chase of 300 plus.

This knock from Shardul might seal his place in ODI for a long time.  Nothing bad though. If he can improve upon his bowling.

Jadd has this off stump channel that he can never lay bat to ball. He would keep fishing if you keep it there. Great "fishman".  I won't bank on him entirely. Today Windies bowlers bowled utterly rubbish stuffs.

he has- he cant go bang bang from ball-1 specially at 7 when u have bat around 10 RPO

After that what did he do, Surinder Amarath scored a hundred on his debut then what did he do nothing.

After that how many times did we chase 300 go n count that also do count how many times does a 6,7 at team help chasing down 300 + succesfully

He also helped chase down 294 in series against aus...where he was mom.

Whatever he is as LOI batsman he miles ahead of jadeja

Amarnath might have not done anything after that but pandya did till his last series

His is short for pace bowler....and his pace is mid 130's
He might have some batting skills but naming him as finisher is a stretch

Certainly not a proper finisher but he can play the odd match winning cameo as we saw yesterday.
