sarcastic Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Who is the main cause of India's defeat today.... Whose innings or whose bowling spell or whose dropped catches lead to India's loss today? The contenders are probably fast bowlers today who seemed to have given runs to Australians like they were donating their personal jagirs.
ShoonyaSifar Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Kohli and his pathetic leadership. Forever Indian, raki05 and RAZPOR 3
zen Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Let’s accept that Aus played much better cricket .... and that Ind needs to develop the youngsters so they can step up their game esp. since some of the experienced players could be fading away
Straight Drive Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 (edited) Rahul, Sharma, Kohli, Bumrah, Shami, Jadeja, Iyer. Also add Starc, Cummins, Warner and Finch...played a big hand in India's loss. Edited January 14, 2020 by Straight Drive diehardpacer 1
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Simple - Aussie played better cricket.... They were better in every dept. Also pitches changes a bit under light so they had better conditions to ....during day it was a bit spungy. But they were far better....lets credit them.
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Just now, Straight Drive said: Rahul, Sharma, Kohli, Bumrah, Shami, Jadeja, Iyer. What about dhawan was batting at 3 on 20 balls at start riding his luck as aussies were missing chances to get him out. Later he cashed in....but did waste new ball when it was easy to score
tweaker Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Kohli and his captaincy Rohit and Rahul should have opened Saini in place of Shardul Chahal in place of Jadeja Dubey in place of Dhawan The team should have been Rohit Rahul Virat Iyer Pant Dubey Kuldeep Shami Chahal Bumrah Saini When the top order fails, run from Shardul will not matter. Virat should not try to enforce his buddies Dhawan and Jadeja in the team. Hope he has learned from his mistakes ,but the changes by him will be Chahal in place of Kuldeep Jadhav in place of Iyer Mosher, RAZPOR and raki05 3
sandeep Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Needed 340+ to have a shot at defending. Toss had a big impact on this game. Dhawan started very poorly, but his innings actually highlighted one of his assets - his mental strength. Against a quality bowling unit, even though he was bogged down - 2(18) at one stage, with Rohit already out, he was able to claw out of that hole and ended up contributing to the team. Sure, he should have gone on to put up a proper big score, but he's not as good as Rohit or Virat at doing that consistently. I fell asleep in the middle of that Dhawan/Rahul partnership so didn't watch their entire innings in detail, or Kohli's. But on this wicket, clearly our top order failed today. Rohit is what he is, and he's earned the right to fail on the odd day. Purely looking at the scoreboard, I'm most disappointed with Iyer. He had 20 overs to bat, should have put his hand up and made a proper contribution. But it is what it is. I do not blame the bowlers, they were 100 runs short of a defendable total, and then the Aussies were clinical in putting the game away. Bumrah is rusty. Its ok. **** happens. I just hope we win the toss in the next ODI and play well. adi B 1

His runs were more valuable than his pathetic strike rate today. raki05 1

But Mr. armchair analyst has decided that Dhawan has to go, so all facts have to be twisted to suit confirmation biases.
Ajju Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Squad selection pathetic did nt select Dhoni sergio04 1

But for a huge phase he was also slow which ended up with a s/r of 81 not good Aussie were brilliant in middle overs as well specially agar the best time on wkt was new ball coz it was a double pace wkt in afternoon and he was going slow . Its also a fact that he was riding his luck yes he needs to go if he cant play next wc doesnt mean i dnt value how great player he is......
Stan AF Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Aussies should win this 3-0. sergio04 and Sgattick10 2

ganeshran Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Dhawan, Rahul - at least one of them should have converted Seam bowling unit
sergio04 Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 India needs Dhoni in next match in place of Pant. Ajju, Straight Drive and Sgattick10 2 1

express bowling Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 This was a 330+ pitch. We scored 255 This loss is primarily due to our batsmen ... all of them. Mosher, sergio04 and Stan AF 3

But 255 was never defendable on this pata pitch against a decent batting side. If we had scored 330, we would have seen a different result. Mosher and RAZPOR 1 1
