Younger pacers ko time hi kitna hua hai

Saini from his debut has become better with yorker n slower ball.

Thakur is avg.....arun cant transform someone who is bang avg

Khaleel, Siraj also have been in & out of national team and they still have consistency issues, pretty much bowling as they did when they came on scene. Saini is 27, has been in A team and on fringes of national team for few years now - shouldn't Arun as head bowling coach be monitoring all these young quicks and getting them ready for international cricket behind the scenes? If Thakur, Kaul are average, why hasn't Arun insisted on better bowlers for selection? Hardik, Shankar, Dube - have these guys benefitted from Arun's coaching or they are just working things out on their own as they go along?

Apart from Shami and Bhuvi, none of our bowlers really land the delivery on the seam. Knuckle balls, slower ball bouncers - many of our bowlers seem to lack these basic variations needed for LOIs. Even basic wrist position for out/in swing can be learnt. Our bowlers rarely seem to have plans for opposition batsmen. Arun has been at helm of bowling set up for 6 years, even coaches have a shelf-life.

The way NZ tier 2 pacers have outbowled us in this ODI series should be a wake up call. Our entire coaching ecosystem, from junior cricket onwards needs a major shake up.

In India, nobody is interested in developing good fast bowlers.

Landing bowl on seam cant be taught at this stage ....either u have young age or not

Not every bowler will have all variation

A bowler have been top notch in last few years.....2-3 bad games cant change it.

NZ 2 tier are bowling in their condition and we are comparing to away condition

Bumrah coming form injury

Saini n thakur are inexperienced

Shami looks a bit tired, same shami was terrific last yr in NZ

everything can be taught. Gillespie was able to get Ishant to bowl just that tad fuller - something which the whole world could see, but somehow couldn't get across to Ishant - just that simple change completely transformed him as a bowler.

If you are happy with Bharat Arun as a coach and think India can't do better, then we will have to agree to disagree. For me, he is bang average as a coach.
