Vihari after having set up a platform went crazy just before tea - anyone could see his wicket was around the corner the way he was playing a-shot-a-ball. Why didn't Pujara as senior batsman go have a word with him? Now right after tea, Pujara plays a totally uncharacteristic pull off a rising ball outside off! What was Kohli doing - that was a horrible swish to a straight ball - bat arc going from slips to mid on...haven't seen him play so loosely even in ODIs. Why didn't Pujara tell him not to waste the review?? But of course, who dare take on KING KOHLI in this team. The intent talk before an important game sent a clear message to all batsmen - better play as per my prescribed copybook, else get ready to be dropped. This man & Shastri have reached the Dhoni stage of 2012 onwards - we are only going to degrade further under this combo. Just listening to their senseless & boastful chatter before and after a match reminds me of the vague, abstract sermons delivered by Dhoni to cover up for his s**t captaincy in tests after 2011. zen Posted February 29, 2020 Author Posted February 29, 2020 This is why Captain P is so important. Even if others get out, we know Captain P will be there What made him play that rash shot. He should be thinking about playing another 100 balls rather than a risky shot for 4 (not his game and style)
