@Mariyam  when and how to use the use the word "paavam" :p:

someone decides to go for a vacation ..

same one saves 4 months of his salary for that vacation ..

finally that person applies for leaves and got approved , then that person book tickets and hotels in advance ..

< here comes coronavirus >

that person tries to cancel the tickets and hotel booking ..

both hotel and flight refuse to give refund ..

now we can use the word "paavam @Trichromatic"  or "ayyo paavam @Trichromatic " ( add "ayyo" for enhanced emotion ) ..

if we want to feel bad for him in kannada , use "papam @Trichromatic " or "ayyo papm @Trichromatic " :phehe:

Toilet is closer to entrance  Maybe nordic people drink too much beer outside. So they designed their homes to facilitate easy bathroom usage as soon as they enter the house.

Now that you mention it, this home plan looks odd. Only one bathroom.

The master bedroom doesn't have an attached bathroom either.

Why do they need 86 sqft for laundry? Special UV lights in the room to dry clothes during the 6 months of winter?

Yeah it may look odd but it maybe usual for those conditions. they have a dryer for drying no need for uv lights. We only use washing machines and dry out clothes out. That is easier in a tropical country. Their winters are dark and cold. Their summers are not that warm either even though the sun stays longer

I planned to drive all the way via E35, N15 and N35 from Babusar Top to Khunjerab Top (China Border) this year.

But looks like 2020 is not the year to travel that far.

Do so in your own caravan, no need to use hotel/restaurant & can maintain social distancing.

Dont have caravan.

And i want that mesmerizing ride in a sedan at babusar (4173m) and KKH. Don't think i will get that pleasure in a caravan anyways.

Its more about the ride and drive, on top of mountain pass, above the clouds and evening.

Just epic.

You'll really enjoy Vietnam @Trichromatic

If you are going to Ho Chi Minh, highly recommend you check out the "Cu Chi Tunnels". Go inside the tunnels if you can (assuming closed dark spaces don't give you claustrophobia).

Outside Ho Chi Minh, check out Hanoi, Da Nang, Ha Long Bay etc.

You can spend 6 - 10 weeks in Vietnam and not break the bank.
