I am so furious at this Bhuvi guy. I mean why now? You have only one utility in your god forsaken career that is to be fit for tours where we encounter swinging condition and he has been unfit for the last two of them.

And then Virat hogging on his spot. Sigh.

I don't care about this tean anymore.

Which swing r u talking about??  He lost it quite a while ago.  There was enough swing in WC SF still he wasn't able to pick early wicket in PP.  How meany 5fers he has in so many games??  Career avg of 35. Barely picks up wickets.  He should not be anywhere near this side. Prasidh Krishna Porel r much better.

He is talking about tests where he averages 26

Why are players not encouraged to hone secondary skills ? In previous teams, Ganguly, Sachin, Yuvi, Sehwag all used to bowl. Dravid used to keep wickets. This used to give extra options when bowlers had an off day. In this team, when main bowlers go for runs, they are allowed to bowl their entire quota because of lack of options.

Rohit Sharma, Kohli used to bowl in the early part of their careers. Now they no longer do. Rest of the new team members either bat or bowl. Even the tail lacks ability to contribute which most teams in the world are capable of. What the heck is management doing regarding this ?

He's still much better than umesh and bumrah in those conditions.

Iyer can bowl handy leggies but mostly lacks control.  If we had a spin bowling coach he might have improved to be a bit like Marnus labuschagne.

even our spinners specially kuldeep yadav may have some turn in these ODI 's and then africans will find it tough to score 260 to 270 runs and our batsman will look like beasts...i wont be surprised if prithvi who just cant handle a good bouncer and a little bit of swing hits a super fluent century as he is a good stroke player......

lets see if he sorts his issue's but prithvi has serious issue against fast bouncers and genuine swing...

on our tracks our batsman are too confident...

shammi and bumrah are genuinely good pacers - only bumrah is selected and if bhuvi does not come in at full pace and genuine swing , he will find the going tough , hardik could also get some thrashing if the pitches dont support. but it seems his batting form is back.

good to know and make shivam dube and shardul know that they need to seriously bring their game Up if they want to play for INDIA.

kedar wiithout his spin should not have been selected as his fielding is average and as a batsman , he messed up in some critical innings.

Piss poor selection.  Nothing has really changed with the new selection committee.

Why Kohli, Bumrah, Dhawan, Jadeja, Bhuvi for this tour

If bhuvi, bumrah wud have been dropped and shami rested what 3-4 fast bowlers wud u have picked???

Whats wrong with bhuvi selection ??

Was looking forward to the new gen of quicks - two of Prasidh, Mavi, Warrier, Siraj.

Bhuvi is still fine, but was hoping they use this series to blood the next gen of pacers... Bumrah's selection for this useless ODI tour was unnecessary.

If they want to pick a swing bowler for next year's Eng tour D Chahar is much much better option.  He is a genuine swing bowler.  Bhuvi should be kept away.

His actual test stats prove you wrong. He has been a great red ball bowler, averaging 20 in the last 2 years he played, he averages 26 both home and away. You can have a bone with him and hate him but facts dont lie

He has played only 2 tests in helpful conditions so obviously he will average 20 in last 2 years imo.

Fact is he only plays in helpful conditions. You will say how his home average is good then? the matches in which he has got alot wickets were helpful (6 Wickets 2016 NZ Eden garden, 8 Wickets at 2017 Srilanka Eden Garden).

Bhuvi has himself to blame for missing many tests in last couple of years. He had chance to play each test match in ENG & NZ conditions but he didn't take care of his fitness and kept playing IPL when he was clearly injured. Now don't tell me he is good for all conditions if he was he wouldn't have played just 20 odd test matches in last 8+ years.

I don't hate him. I think he last played a test match in SA that was 2 years ago.  His white ball form has been awful in terms of wicket taking ability recently. D Chahar even swings with the white ball reasonably & he could be deadly on overcast conditions in England with the red ball.  Bumrah Shami won't win u a test series in England coz they r not genuine swing bowlers.  Reason why Pakistan does so well in Eng is their bowlers ability to move the ball. Southee might be terrible white ball bowler but his ability to swing the ball will always make him more deadlier than Bumrah & Shami in helpful conditions.

Have you seen bhuvis stats in England? Red ball and white ball bowling are different. Many swing and seam bowlers who do great in tests struggle in LOIs
