International passengers were thermal checked since end of Jan. This virus spread because of Tablighi Jamaat. Migrant crisis is also over-reaction. International flights should had been stopped or all passengers should be forcibly quarantined in late feb , early March. Tablighi definitely increased the cases but even before that people like Kanika kapoor went from airport and was partying. You don't stop international travel for 100 odd cases also. There is only hindsight in your argument. It's like heads or tails, you will always whine. Social distancing, lockdown was to prevent the numbers of exploding. And that has worked out. Now, blame it on Tablighi who spread it all over India. For 100-200 cases international travel cannot be stopped or passengers cannot be quarantined. But for 500 cases entire country can be locked which has massive collateral damage. With all the migrant and relaxed social distancing, the spread could be a lot higher though the most vulnerable group has been the seniors especially the Long Term Care in the western countries.
