"20 intubations, but no patient who took Hydroxychloroquine-Azithromycin combo got intubated"

There is a doc in Brazil whose study have been stopped and his claims have been used by allmost all media outlets (some because of anti Trump, Some because Phrma company Interest.).

Anyhow, if one reads properly, it seems like doctor has been as reckless as it can be. He should be bloody put behind bars. he was giving 1200mg daily and most in that patient group died, while other group was receiving 270mg daily.

However higher death rate among 1200mg patient group is now used as a fact against "Trumps Chloroquinn" ignoring lower death rate stats among 270mg daily patient group.

Great thread for all Teating mafia, claiming “We are not testing enough”, learn something about false positives and false negatives over a volume of tests (100k) done randomly.

I thought you wanted more testing. Although, the reason I don’t agree with same testing strategy as SK or USA, for India, is economics, the sheer volume will make it a logistical nightmare to do same kind of testing.

Of course I want more testing.  Let's not pretend that there is enough testing, because there simply isn't.  Doctors have on record stated that fatalities and serious patients suspected of Covid aren't being tested.  So that reality is an issue.

But I will always welcome reasonable analytical inputs - even ones that are potentially wrong, even ones I disagree with - this one isn't one of those anyway.

You can't be more wrong. In today's SM and media days, no serious patient or fatality can be kept hidden.

That's a bold assertion - and by the way, I dearly and fervently hope that its an accurate one.  But common sense indicates that there is a significant probability that it's not.

I posted in another thread a tweet by a reporter who quoted a Bombay Dr on multiple fatalities who were suspected of being caused by COVID19, but weren't tested.  Now of course her report was for BBC, and that carries with its own slant and baggage.  But the bottomline is that you cannot draw black-and-white conclusions from the existing data set that we have, without recognizing the fact that the dataset we have is significantly incomplete.  Whether that's from the reality of the tests not being fool-proof, the number of tests, the decisions and distributions of tests conducted in the right sample sub-populations, and the fact that with our population, there are literally hundreds of people dying every single day, that our health care system doesn't record, or know the cause for.

This is not to be a negative nelly and claim its all doom and gloom.  Its just to point out the fact that assuming that things are going to continue to go well as they have so far, is a shaky assumption.

Now we've gone over this same argument a couple of times already, and I know which side of the spectrum you stand on.  And that's fine.  Again, I hope that you are right, and I'm wrong.  But Sorry, I'm not going to join the optimist bandwagon just yet, knowing that it may be missing the forest for the trees.

@sandeep This post is more relevant here..

BBC is notorious for such fear-mongering all over the world and the person quoting has also  lost  so much credibility with fake news, she showing concern should be taken with doles of salt. They are not quoting any official source or doctor, somebody recording some stuff without disclosing identity is stuff from yellow journalism of Tehelka magnitude that UK is notorious for. The fake news acting is a big industry now, with CBS too showing some nurse crying hoarse which turned out to be fake. 6 people being brought DOA might be true, but I doubt the whole country is riddled with such cases in all mohallas. I don’t know about Mumbai or Delhi, Iknow that 2 wards in Shivaji nagar Bluru have been closed because of positive cases. Neighbors force people to quarantine or report if somebody dies, it will not go unnoticed.  I am a bit more optimistic about the Testing debate, and of course unofficial numbers will be higher than official even in most countries. Today, NYC added 3000 more deaths that are potential covid cases, but not tested or even tested negative (false negatives).

Now, for Pakistan which is not under any serious lockdown should be concerned with this story, is breaking out such DOA stories,

Low mortality in TN because of Sambar

Interesting.  Fooding habbits, chloroquinn consumption, malara bouts,  tubercuculosis jabs and weather. I dont care what saves us, As long as we dont go US,UK and West ways. I do not think people are not contracting this virus outside West at same rate as in West, but So far, it seems in West, around 5-10 deaths per day per million population over a period of atleast 4 weeks.

Its baffling how Africans and Indians are not impacted in their own country but deat rate of same ethinic group is 3-5 times more in UK and US compared to whites

French Nobel Laurette and Luc Mantgnier says presence of HIV and Malaria strains in virus means manmade. No wonder tami flu and Chloroquinn are tipped as drugs. I think this discussion is closed as to why Chloroquinn worked.

And hiv drugs were also prescribed earlier.

Yes , this also explains why Chloroquinn is failing in some circumstances.

iirc tami flu was definitely used by Chinese. There is a documentary where they showed they gave tami flu to their patients.

The world seems to have moved on from the hydrochloroquine theory.

First it was chloroquine

Then it was  hydrochloroquine

Then it was  hydrochloroquine + Zpac

Then it was  hydrochloroquine + Zinc

Then it was  hydrochloroquine, but administered early

You forgot the main thing, you must really believe it works for it to be effective.

It's failing because the users didn't believe enough

Don't let these people forget they pushed a dangerous and untested drug onto their family members.
