Just a reminder that only CSK were stupid enough to hold a training camp before traveling, that too in Chennai which is one of the most affected cities in India. Apparently it was dhonis idea. No other teams held camps before traveling

They also flouted social distancing and mask rules

Well if you see logically, IPL should not be taking place in the first instance however it is happening, which is foolish.

Dhoni certainly should take the blame for this idiocy, he tried to be smart aleck & now results are showing.

Another CSK player has tested positive, Ruturaj Gaekwad.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see foreign players leave UAE as they don’t want to take chances. And the repercussions of this if IPL gets cancelled that all other franchises bring a class action lawsuit against CSK for breaking bio sphere protocols before leaving India which has led to this.

classic Dhoni style *ing up things for everyone else. Chewt

Should have thought of that before arranging for a training camp in Chennai and then flouting distancing and mask norms

Someone seemed to be in desperate need for practice/ training.

Looks like captain cool did the Chennai gig to later hog credit for the "genius move" in case CSK won the tournament. Media would sing his praises non stop - with "despite management not happy with the idea, but the shrewd genius put his foot down and made them do it because he had a hunch" PR fluff.

Don't know, man. The tests themselves have been iffy with false positives and vice-versa. If they were truly in a bubble at that time, his claim is actually valid.

False positives are very very very rare. You cannot get a positive unless the sample is literally contaminated by virus

hafeez had false positive

No, most probably he was asymptotic and tested negative afterwards. None of his fellow players who tested positive showed aby symptoms

Can't believe PCB has managed to outsmart BCCI in COVID crisis. IPL teams should have been tested few weeks ago in India and then left for UAE straight away and then wait for players to test negative to allow them to travel
