I like watching him bat. There is something very uncomplicated about the way he plays his shots. Never too much power, never out of shape. Hardly clears his legs to go big. And maximises against the spinners.

Mr.consistent. Not flamboyant but gets the job done. A Kohli type of player, not a 6 hitter but keeps the scoring with boundaries and running and the odd phase of 6 hitting. Not comparing him with Kohli but that type of player, a little more attacking than Williamson.

Also why wasn’t he picked in IPL? He is way better than DJ Sams and Phillips

of the world.

More like KL,  kohli s/r is 138...this guy is touching 150 .

KL has that crazy gear. Almost a Rohit lite. Malan is more smooth engine like Kohli having watched him bat in the past . Didn’t see his recent knocks vs SA

You select roles not names . If a team is looking for a top 3 batter thats when u look at him

kl also has that phase where he slows down a lot, this guy just doesnt...his game is calculated but doesnt have any breaks unlike Kohli, KL, Rohit ,williamson even warner now who takes time in certain phases

Some times common sense > random analysis. Why go for Phillipe when you have AB who can keep or Parthiv?

 

Similarly this DJ Sams is not better than guys like Porel etc who didn’t get many games.

 

Waste of money. Might as well have a genuine proven match winner in your squad even if he is a specialist and not bits and pieces. Hey Bhagwaan indeed that I have to say that as a statement.

Wish DC had picked this guy to replace the injured Roy. Stoinis, Malan and the 2 Saffer quicks should have been our foreign quota. No way Malan would have surrendered against the Bambi quicks.

coz parthiv wont play in XI

and ABDV is a reluctant keeper , he drained out so many times in ipl to while keeping 

malan bats at 3 already taken by kohli 

if they had to pick him it wud have been over finch not phillipe 

 

u need a wkt batsman u go for bairstrow butler not for malan

he is ...to start with he is a left arm bowler which Dc didnt have

Porel bowling is more suited for longer format, Sams bowling is for LOI....he has been one of the biggest MVP in BBL

he is basically in faulknar mould

 

now when they already have avesh, rabada, nortje , ishant....only makes sense to go for a left armer who can bat at 7 coz they have no one who can tonk at 7

there is no point of a match winner if u cant find a slot 

Dc had heytmer but he wasted at 5,6...whats the point if they cant play him

Same with SRH their top 3 affects their balance even though they are highest quality, It was only holder who bought balance to them who doesnt have great credentials in t20 cricket

 

names have no value if not put on right slow

In IPL demand for foreign all rounders, pacers now wk batsman also will always be high then top order batsman coz thats one thing india has in abundance. 

Dc had dhawan, shaw, rahane, roy.....now one back up is ok but whats the point fo the guy complete waste of slot same wud have been the case with malan in DC or RCB.....jis ki zarurat nahin uska achar dalna hai
