Reason for exposure in batting is timid approach,you atleast to score at 3-3.5 runs per over India batted for over 100 overs had they scored at 3-3.5 runs per over pressure would have been on Australia,with pujara and rahane woefully out of form and vihari clearly isn't cut for test , I have been saying this,we need a transition within next 1-2 yrs, padikkal, Gaikwad,prasidh, Tyagi needs to be groomed even next gen spinners needs to be groomed,I still feel Pandya has a role in this setup,kl and gill should be persisted with and shaw and saini needs to work hard now in domestic.

We need a proper modern international coach or even consultant to change our approach towards batting . Shastri and Vimram rathore are not good enough. Also Kohli jas been captain for 6 years. That's long enough. We need a receptive young captain who is willing to look at alternative options/approaches . Kohli/Shastri will keep doing things the same way and expect different results . This team has gone as far as it can with their stubbornness.

It was only.lois but I was more impressed with saini a year back in nzl than what ive seen since. Speed is one thing but his bowling seems to lack zip I'm not entirely sure why.

Saini ends his first test with match figures of 4 for 119  on a very flat track. Took 2 crucial wickets this morning when no one else could.

 

His 2nd innings economy rate is a decent 3.37 too. 

 

Siraj has taken 2 wickets and Bumrah 3  ( albeit 4 dropped catches off Bumrah's bowling )  on the same track.

 

Quite a decent debut in the end, especially given the flatness of the track.

He is absolutely crap bowler. Umesh is a legend compared to this over hyped trash. So called bowling experts here, look at stats and think so and so is a good bowler. He might have bowled a delivery or two at 145+ and they collectively had an orgasm. He is ****.

What stats are you talking about. Even his starts are poor. Avgs 28+ in FC. Bowling couple of fast overs in t20s knowing you only have to bowl 4 overs is different to the real cricket. Even in odis he goes down to 135 kph by 6th over.

Calm the f down dude, he just created a chance to get their best batsman in the innings out. Thats the match right there if skippy didn't drop it. Injuries can happen at any time

Then he should play more fc. Test cricket is nt the place to learn the trade. From whatever he has shown he hasn't looked international quality. Big step-down from our front line. 

 

Plus he is 28.we cnt give him 50 matches to show his worth.
