This bullying of Shaw needs to stop right now

We need to be patient with every talented youngster. Give them time to succeed.

 

If they develop some major technical issues, like Shaw has, then they should go back to the drawing board ... rectify the issue ... and come back strong.

 

But this is all part of their development process.

 

There is no point in getting after youngsters if they fail. Gill may fail too ... but we should show patience with him too.

Agreed, not only with shaw but pant as well. These are 21-23 yr old kid, they ll make mistake,  loose their way most have such issues. 

Both are X factor players and they ll grow with time.

About technique , everyone has a flaw even mayank, gill has it ......when yuvraj came in he was one of the most awfull players of spin.

Here is the difference, I don’t care about Shaw getting  criticism for his technique. I am pretty sure tomorrow have a match in SC against Bang,SL or WI and he will smash a less than a run a ball 100. He would just have to fix his flaws or learn to play around it like a lot of flawed greats have done.

 

His fielding is limited. Don’t think he will ever be a great fielder but at least he can work on his catching and he deserves blame for not stepping up.

 

His fitness is clearly piss poor. He will not last an entire 50 over game leave alone bat through an innings.

 

There are better replacements 

 

All are valid criticisms and points. That is fine.

 

However I am seeing the criticism sounding very bitter, rude and harsh all over SM. It is a little uncomfortable especially with youngsters of this generation having a lot of mental issues etc leave alone a guy who is in a high pressure situation his early 20’s.

 

Sure we can make fun of someone but there are limits and boundaries l. For example  calling him a look alike of Shastri etc was light hearted and was alright  but calling him a guy with fake age, a bald uncle, grandpa sounds a little too pushing it and cruel.

He's a talented kid who's making a ton of money, and has gotten more fame already than I'm guessing we here will ever know in our lifetimes, combined.

 

To say don't criticise him so much because he's a kid, well the flip side is he shouldn't be earning so much because he's a kid, don't give him so much adulation he's a kid.  

Unfortunately ALL of it comes with the territory.  

 

Of course when criticism  gets threatening or demeaning with a racist/ casteist or similar perspective, then obviously it needs to be clamped down.

 

Personally, I believe he should go back to FC and doesn't deserve a place. I won't o indulge in 'bullying' behaviour.  But I won't back off from making fun of his game or him either.

on the same regard his fitness should be criticized ... he has been given the sense of inevitability because of his early accomplishments.. that is not his fault ...
