Missing their usual Lakmal & Pradeep. Fernando did well last time but he is just run of the mill, don't expect him to run through SA. Kumara is fast but erratic.

Lankas only chance is if they can get 400 plus here

Lakmal is hugely under-rated. He is definitely in my top 5-6 bowlers list.

Apart from quota selection,  another problem with SAF is that the new white players making it to the team also don't look international standard.   Nortje, despite being tall looks damn mediocre.  Markram, as an opener has got lot of chances but never converted them to big ones.  I fear SAF might become another Zimbabwe in couple of years.  (Getting whitewashed to SL at home again and again would be really embarrassing)

Bowling attacks from both teams are terrible. How the heck did SA lose wickets to these bowlers on their last tour.

Watching an SL game after a long time.   Their bowling is very very meh.

Kumara's gets up to 140km + consistently. Looks like your typical workhorse pacer.  He's got the physique of a bull. I suspect he'll be prone to injury with that heavy body.

Hasaranga is the leg break bowler on Test debut.  Flattish and fast. He may be more effective as an ODI or T20 bowler.

The rest - Fernando, Rajitha and Shanaka look bog average.

Their senior most pacer (injured and out of this series I believe) is Lakmal who's had 61 Tests at 37- which says it all I guess about their bowling attack.

SA got too cocky in in last series and that ATG knock knocked the stuffing out of them too.
