Test team lacks quick bowlers apart from Steyn.

 

Anderson and Broad don't look incisive if the ball is not moving.  Only one of them should be there. 

 

This team also lacks quicks who can reverse the ball at pace ... so, this pace unit and this team won't bowl well in the Indian subcontinent.

Cook should not be in test squad, AB should be there. Cook had good 3 years in this decade- '11, '12 and '13.. He was on decline since Ashes debacle in Australia.

 

Dhoni leading t20 team is anyway questionable, guy led us to 3 Wt20 loss is given t20 captaincy. Sammy should be given captaincy if they are really covering the team of decade or even Morgan would be better option. Same with ODI team, Dhoni was good only for initial 3 years. Buttler should be there as he has been pivotal in England's revival in ODIs since '15 wc. Morgan in place of Shakib to lead, no need of AR when Stokes is there.

Only good thing about the three squads -  no padosis in any of them. The whole nation must be in a meltdown.

Rohit Sharma, Warner, Dhoni, ABDV - these guys have been bang average in T20Is last 10 years.

 

The ICC team is more like IPL XI of decade.

These line ups and all these all time x1 or decade x1 are bs and not much thinking anyways go into it before they pick.

 

I will give you simple example. 
 

Sangakkara last played as a wicket keeper specialist bat for Sri Lanka in 2008, that is last decade and not current decade. But here he has been picked as the specialist wicket keeper in the test decade line up.

 

 

BJ Watling is the best keeper of the decade if you are to pick full time keeper who bats well.  He is the enst from this decade in test cricket.

More wickets should not be the criteria.

 

Effectiveness in the team should be.

 

Bumrah has a much wider range of ODI skills than Boult.

 

If you had to pick an ODI team to play for your life, who would you pick, Bumrah or Boult ?
