My predictions...

Group 1

1. England

2. India

3. Afghanistan

4. South Africa

5. TBA (most likely Bangladesh)

6. TBA (Ire/Scope)

Group 2

1. Australia

2. New Zealand

3. West Indies

4. Pakistan

5. Sri Lanka

6. TBA (Ire/Sco)

England beats New Zealand

India chokes against Australia :ciao:

England beats Aus in an epic final....:cheer:

Ill rather have us Face Aus in semi then WI, WI have players till end who can change the game anytime and captain who knws how to keep nerves in crucial situation

When is t20 wc?  Schedule out?  Dont want to face Pakistan unless have to face in KO. Faltu ka overhype karte hai India-Pakistan ko media:phew:

Think we will be in separate groups as BCCI said that India will play Pakistan only in ICC knockouts if situation arise.

Lol hell no..  If they keep the same format like 2016 where top two team make Semis..  I don't  see them making it.

Also you missed Imad their gun T20 bowler in PP..  Perhaps only guy who can consistently perform for them.

However their batting can consistently churn up 160 range scores due to presence of Hafeez babar & Rizwan.  Then try to defend them should be the preffered planning.

If we make WTC final & Asia Cup is clashing with it then send a B team with

Dhawan (c)(he'll be there anyways)

Kishan

Samson

Iyer

SKY

Hardik

Tewatia

Sundar

D Chahar

Nattu

Rahul Chahar

Pretty sure this team can win Asia Cup & beat Poyzz with relative ease.

I will include KL too as he is more likely not to be in the playing 11 of WTC

They'll likely take an extended squad due to covid & quarantine rules..  So KL makes it.

Lol ever seen how WI play T20 in India..  They like Indian grounds & ultra fast outfields in fact most teams like them.

Pooran Hetmeyer Pollard & Lewis or Brandon King type players will smoke Pakistan into dust.  I don't know how many hitters they can conjure from CPL once they return to full stretch..

Eng & India were in same group if we go by postponed WC...  Pak had Aus NZ WI to deal with..  Don't think they are stronger than those three but may beat kiwis though.

If it's a true pitch, Kiwis can smoke anybody. However Pakistan has been their bogey team since 80s.

They can't chase 160+ against a decent bowling attack to save their lives. Look at the way they huffed and puffed against SAF reserves a week ago.

Babar Azam is vastly overrated in this format. He is good in Tests, great in ODIs but he lacks that extra gear to go all the way up in T20s. And on wickets where 180 is the par total, he can be a huge huge liability esp in the middle overs. Grandpa Hafeez is definitely better than him with his current purple patch and the one that opponents will be wary of. Babar won't be hurting anyone with his 55(42)....

And their bowling is below par too.

I know T20 is sort of a lottery format but I'll be really surprised if they manage to even reach the SF later this year.

On a side note, is S(h?)arjeel the same fatso hack who got banned for fixing? When was the last time he even played int'l cricket? I know they're mediocre now but this desperate? spacer.png

Fair assessment of Pakistan team, they will be lucky if they made it to SF.

Their "cornered tigers",."unpredictability" chewtiyapa is the biggest jumla in world cricket. :giggle:

A close second is "Indians are best players of spin bowling".

Best means better than the rest, so the title is spot on.

Their batting has improved but their bowling has gone down. Still in Asia they can be the dark horse.

But looking at their group (Aus, NZ, WI), I honestly don't see them making the semis.

IPL men to dhawan bhi david warner ban jata hai and ur talking about a tournament whose foriegn players are mostly guys unsold in IPL. These local tournaments dont present any right picture

International men Archer, Bumrah, starc, rabada milenge

Hafeez is doing this in international cricket too, had an average over 90 since a year with strike rate over 150

The shorter the format, the greater the threat from Pakistan. They have a few explosive quicks who can maintain pace for 4 overs and a couple of useful LOI spinners. Not many big hitters who can up the ante though. If they find 2,3 of those, they will be in with a real chance

Are you talking about the likes of Haris Rauf, Hasnain etc who make umesh yada look like McGrath? :phehe:

Rauf is a proper gully mohalla bowler & he is not young too..  Hasnain has good potential though...  Much better than Naseem.  Decent pace & has ability to move the ball.  He might be of Shaheen's age I think.

When did batsmen start caring about pace in T20 unless it's touching mid 150 clicks? Pace, lightening quick outfields, and flat pitches is a disaster combination in T20s unless the bowler has a surgeon's precision.

I didnt say they were great but they have a  few options is all I said. They were a  complete pushover  last time. Will be harder to beat this time around.
