There is a slight increase in positivity. But how are you extrapolating that to a third wave? Maharashtra has already declared a level 3 level lockdown for all areas, even those with level 1 or level 2 scores in positivity rates.

ravishingravi Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 If India clocks 60 lakhs doses per day we might be out of this well before I thought. I actually think this number will go up to 10 million per day in next two weeks. speedheat 1

Hospitalisation was required for us. The virus is mutating so fast vaccines will be behind the curve anyways. Edited June 28, 2021 by gattaca

BacktoCricaddict Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 COVAXIN ROCKS!! https://www.indiatvnews.com/news/world/covaxin-effectively-neutralises-both-alpha-delta-variants-of-covid-19-us-top-health-institute-715666 Covaxin effectively neutralises both Alpha, Delta variants of Covid-19: US' top health institute The top health research institute said that an adjuvant developed with funding from the NIH has contributed to the success of the "highly efficacious" COVAXIN COVID-19 vaccine, which roughly 25 million people have received to date in India and elsewhere. India's Covaxin, developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research, effectively neutralises both Alpha and Delta variants of coronavirus, the US' National Institute of Health has said. The NIH said results of two studies of blood serum from people who had received Covaxin suggest that the vaccine generates antibodies that effectively neutralise the B.1.1.7 (Alpha) and B.1.617 (Delta) variants of SARS-CoV-2, first identified in the UK and India, respectively. The top American health research institute, which has a history of strong scientific collaboration with India, also said that an adjuvant developed with funding from it has contributed to the success of the highly efficacious Covaxin, which has been administered to roughly 25 million people till date in India and elsewhere.
