mishra Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Have been saying it all along. Below is real story how states were hiding the data. Since its by that mofo Soutik Biswas, It has to be on basis of a BJP ruled state, But probably this is as close to truth as we get in terms of reporting and estimating the dead in current pandemic. If you extrapolate and assume all Indians are made up of same raw material (bone blood muscels) The number will coume out similar to my calculation of atleast 6+ million deaths https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-56969086 For once I agree that all BJP CMs and politicians are devils but some state has CM from various other parties too. I don't want to accept it but If not poverty and second world facilities what else can we blame?

Yeah come live in Goregaon, Mumbai where BMC official says there are no oxygen beds for my parents but we can arrange one if I pay 30,000 upfront. You can also join me in Cama hospital where there is seperate vaccination queue that is managed by various officials and you can get vaccine without token or prior appointment at 2000. So, spare me your rant. We are all angry. But health is state subject. Thats just a fact. Spare me your rant as well when center last year went ahead and decided to impose lockdown event throughout country without even consulting lockdown with state . Stop defending centre when they had equal responsibility while the moron himself was busy dissing out vaccines and chest thumping pr all over the world and his moron health minister was busy stating ' End Game is here ".. Currently ,Endgame is ours while I'm locked up in isolation .. where was your constitution then ? Control everything and leave everything when things are out of your control and hide behind the same constitution ,which you never cared about in the first place. And I hope your parents recover soon ... Edited May 11, 2021 by Stuge Vivek92 and Ankit_sharma03 1 1

I am fairly equanimous with realities of this country. I dont care about the centre when the responsibility was of the state. On constitution, look up disaster management act. That was the provision under which lockdown was imposed. In Oct 2020, States were given autonomy to decide their state regulations / restrictions. As I said, I dont care of defending the centre. But there are two seperate issues. Vaccination which is where centre messed. Health infrastructure which is where State did. Vaccination mess was a of logistics, communication and lethargy of us Indians.

India is a big country but 6 million people go missing and no one notices.

For example Indtitute I studied, there could be maximum 1200 students in all batches if overlapping. Assuming 30% are abroad( actually more) that leaves 800-900 max overlapping. I heard 5 dead from that 900 in wave 2. Zero deaths in wave 1. Now, certainly know that 5 confirmed death means atleast 7-8 deaths. Thats nearly 1 in hundred and we are not half way there.
mishra Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 People i know are dieing. I know that fact. Thats why, I am so much into it. As far as facilities are concerned, i contacted 10+ Uk manufacturers of oxygen generators and concentrators. Initially i got positive response. Now they all have run out. No one but India and Indians have to fight it. Supplies aren’t cominng from anywhere. Lets accept it and come together

Knowing how opaque the system is and being aware of the inadequacies also, I cannot take this seriously. It doesn't pass the smell test. Under reported. For sure. 2 x at best, but even that I would want some underlying data.

That means 24-25 cremation in prayag alone. Multly it to 25 assuming 25 such sites in UP. Multiply it again with 20 assuming 20 states similar size. Multiply that value for 30 days

Multiply that value for 30 days That cannot be starting point. Starting point has to be what is average run rate in a non covid scenario. What is delta now. And discounting non covid deaths. But I am not in favour of back of hand calculation. In India, data comes from the ground. You cannot hide it on this scale. Even the efficient CCP cannot hide 6 million bodies. Its non sense.

It should be relatively easy for an independent lab to test for attenuation. If this turns out to be true, it is appalling and negates a lot of the progress that we have made as the future of the pharma industry. No point blaming China or anyone else.

Oxygen too.As per PMO's press release,162 oxygen plants were to be set up by central body CMSS.However as per Ministry of Health, only 33 were installed upto 18 April. https://factly.in/this-post-misleads-people-by-blaming-only-states-for-the-delay-in-installing-the-oxygen-plants/ This lack of preparedness sent people looking for oxygen until courts stepped in. So it is lazy to say Centre is faultless. Also NDMA is still in force I guess As @mishrasaid,its a collective failure.Everyone is to be blamed including people. But people are paying for it in the worst way .How will these leaders, both central and state, pay for this?Nothing will happen to them. They will get best facilities for themselves and their dear ones and then act like nothing happened End of rant Quote In Oct 2020, States were given autonomy to decide their state regulations / restrictions. Trying to find something on this. Can you provide a source link for this? Thanks mishra and Vilander 2

urbestfriend Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 In Karnataka , I definitely put the blame on State government for pathetic underpreparedness. They had some of these issues creedped up in wave 1, but as soon as cases plummeted, whole cabinets and MLA's were fighting for ministries, positions in other bodies etc whereas healthcare was never a priority for them. Whole circus of blackmailing one another was in full view. They just disbanded a covid hospital they opened by spending crores of rupees. Now they are struggling when second wave came. I am totally sick of this government lead by Yeddi. Vilander 1
