Cricketers from countries which have produced good fast bowlers historically ( and have been top Teams as s result of this )  have this passion for fast bowling and fast bowlers. They see extra pace and bounce and they get excited. Steyn and Bishop are very good examples. 

 

Good fast bowling is a means to achieve the end of winning ... but it is a very exciting means. One can win a match by a walkover or DL Method in a rained out match ... but actually thumping a top opposition in a match is the most exciting way of winning. Using fast bowling to win is a similar thing. It gives a rare adrenaline rush !   It's super thrilling  !

 

I remember how excited Warne was when Bumrah was bowling that amazing, skilful and fast spell at the Oval. He kept on saying that he is executing such amazing skills with almost every ball at around 90 mph. He could not hold back his excitement. 

 

While most top batters' discussions about their past seem to revolve around how they tackled a genuine fast bowler or could not  ... and the associated fear and discomfort. This is the aspect that seems to affect them psychologically 

 

Fast bowling lovers forget the country of origin of the bowler and just live the excitement of display of raw speed and power with skills. 

 

I was so overjoyed when I found a few genuine fast bowling lovers on this forum. Co-Indians who got as much thrilled by quick bowling as I always got. @Mosher, @Suhaan, @rkt.india, @vishalvirsingh, @Vilander, @Rightarmfast, @MultiB48, @Malcolm Merlyn and a few others are the relative old timers who had and have this passion for fast bowling.  Then came you @Lone Wolf, @Vijy, @rollingstoned, @sarchasm, @prudent_kreeda,@raki05, @Jay@singhvivek141

 

 

Now we have a pool of developed quick bowlers bowling 145 k+ or 140 k+ and winning us big test series away from home and tearaway quicks bowling 150 k+ or 145 k+.  The first part of our journey to develop us as a fast bowling nation is near completion ... building up from the despairing days of short medium pacers floating the ball up gently.  Now starts the most interesting part. And the IPL has played a big part in this journey too.

 

Let's enjoy the ride together now !  Let the passion for fast bowling grow and expand ! 

 

It's so good that super passionate fast bowlers like Steyn and Jones are taking part in the development of our young quicks.

well said my friend. There is nothing more exciting in cricket than a fast bowler running up with a slightly overcast sky behind him toward a top order on first session of a marquee test match or a wc odi.

These youngsters must learn as much as possible from these two gentlemen in the next 45 days.

 

Prasidh is getting back his pace too ... hope he does not slip back to fast-medium.

Wants to see these four forming a fiery pace quartet for India in the next one year or so.

He is quite strong for his age too,stress fractures can develop irrespective of strength

That's true. You are right. Actually I checked his instagram. Kid is pretty jacked for his age. But ummie like I said has that farmer type wiry super strong build. Strong ligaments.

22 years old Harshit Rana from Delhi has replaced injured Rasikh Salam. He recently played Vinoo Mankad for Delhi, played for Delhi u19 in 2019. He is fast and can supposedly bat too. He was a net bowler at Gujarat Titans. 

From the video he looks quite k. Like 135-140 plus.

Harshit Rana looks quite sharp and is on the taller side too.

 

Seems to have a decent yorker and  good bouncer.

Dream of seeing Bumrah, Prasidh / Sen, Umran, Tyagi bowling in tandem in tests outside Asia in the near future. 

 

Tyagi can be the No.8 batter as he has some batting ability.

Yea absolutely. I am being g pessimistic based on our ranji radars. He will be 5-7 kmph quicker in international radars compared to his domestic speed guns. 

 

Aaron touched 152 in domestic right, I swear that ball may have been 157 on an international speed gun.

I want to see Hangargekar because I thought he looked quicker than what speed guns showed in the u19 WC. Those speed guns were highly inconsistent.

I think management is upset with hngerakar due to age fraud issue. He is still young. 22 ish rather than 19. I really feel there should be an under 23 comp rather than 19
