I'm not changing goalposts, these two are correlated. What's the strategy of vaccination, what happened to preparing for the second wave? Is that all up to state, then why do we have a govt at the center? And I've not even begun about the WB elections!

There is no reliable data from China, that I'm aware, so the claim rkt made is suspect at best.

How many vaccines did we export, & the ones that were wasted in part because of the restriction that only 60+ could be vaccinated? From the other thread -

https://www.firstpost.com/india/amid-covid-19-surge-massive-vaccine-wastage-opens-up-another-battlefront-for-india-9558321.html

The Delhi High Court also on Tuesday pulled up the Centre for “criminal wastage” of vaccines, and said “whomsoever you can vaccinate” should be vaccinated, regardless of age, to ensure “all doses are fully utilised”. Blaming the wastage on bad planning, the bench said, “We cannot make an app to deal with this situation? You should have known that there would be a situation that people may not turn up, because if a person turns up and you have to open a new vial, you will not tell him to come tomorrow.”

“Whether he is 16 years, 20 years or 60 years doesn’t matter. All need vaccination. Please look at this aspect,” said the court, adding that even one shot should not be wasted as the pandemic is hitting young people too. At least two state governments – Delhi and Maharashtra – had requested the Central government to expand vaccination coverage to younger people, as they make up for the majority of the COVID-19 cases.

National Health Authority CEO Ram Sewak Sharma had said the wastage of coronavirus vaccine has been an area of concern for the government, suggesting that consolidating smaller vaccination centres into larger ones can help address this issue. “There are other minor details like the need to consolidate vaccine centres into larger centres and if that happens then vaccination wastage will also reduce. Wastage takes place generally in the last vial. People at times not turning up after getting appointment is also an issue," he said.

Arrey bhai. You are just proving my point.  I think you are upset which is fine. But I would rather wait to see how things settle. I have seen developed economies and their infrastructure collapse and we want to sail through.

We Atleast have possibility of vaccination. But states have to deliver and people have to respond. Vaccine hesitancy is real. We never really had a wave. This is first wave in many ways and will force Indians to vaccinate.

The numbers, cases, deaths, vaccination rate, none of which warrant your wrist slitting. In fact it’s a miracle that things have not collapsed. Let’s hope in next 3-4 months with vaccination and natural immunity we get through. In India things move quick. In 10 days your question will be irrelevant.

Modi who is master of optic got it all wrong. Risked India to win WB.

WB became an ego issue and an obsession  for Shah and Modi.

Shah may be election specialist....but he needs to learn there is more to a Govt than winning elections .

Even if they win....they have lost a lot of ground with the people of India They have lost a lot of supporters and trust.

Yes. Perhaps like your farmers who are still protesting. I understand they want the authorities to set up camp for their vaccination at the protest site.

People are dropping dead left and right but you are still blaming farmers for the ineptitude of BJP.

No. Don’t think so. People live in fool’s paradise and don’t understand how India works. A campaign like this is like a project management exercise. Each part of SOP has to be established to be scaled up. And we talking the biggest vaccination drive in history of any nation.

Every country progressed in calibrated manner. First health care workers. Then senior citizens and then the rest.

Rate at which India is going, India will be the first nation to have herd immunity for all the wrong reasons.

They have scored a own goal in Red Fort. Just waiting for a consolation victory. Modi will definitely give it after the pandemic.

Healthcare is responsibility of state.

Still remember during announcement of 1st lockdown by cente he usual crowd were upset throwing tantrums, now state given more responsibilities and as expected usual crowd throwing hissy fit. Too many expectations on one man whilst the morons couldn't follow simple social distancing and mask rules.

What is the Health ministry in states for? Chane khaane ke liye?

Thisis a national disaster and hence the policy has to come from top. How do you expect each state to make their own vaccine.

Also,  broadcasting internal meeting within state and central Govts against protocol. He is useless outside Delhi offering freebies, bus tickets to women, free electricity/ water to hapless Delhi residents. PM cares fund allocated 8 oxygen plants to Delhi, he only implemented one.  Saala haraami. Abhi oxygen ki bheek maang raha hain. Kanjoos aadmi. He is clueless than even Modi.

Almost all state leaders have become useless. Other than reporting to pilfering of wealth by offering freebies, they are not capable of constructive process. What they have mastered is blaming modi for everything.
